They're beating teams by double digits even in games where Tim or Manu are a bit off. Tony coming back has allowed the Spurs to be able to stay in games where Tim or Manu aren't playing too well and this team is really starting to gel defensively.

On another note I haven't seen our last four games so I'm not sure why Tim has been struggling so much lately. If this was earlier in the season I wouldn't be making a deal of it but it's March and normally he's rounding into playoff form now and picking teams apart (see last season). Hopefully he'll get out of it soon because the schedule gets really tough now and Tim's going to have to bring it against teams like Denver and Phoenix.

Actually...I think another game against Amare is all Tim needs to get back into shape :hungry:

I wonder if Pop will try KT on Shaq.

Uh he had over 14 or 15 rebounds tonight, and had about 31 points on tuesday...

I don't see how he doesn't. I would imagine that's one of the reasons they brought Thomas in.

Not putting KT on Shaq, at least for a while, is about as silly as not playing Jason Kidd in the final seconds when your team is down two.

Tim carried the Spurs early this week, so I'm not really worried about him.

Still, I don't think the Spurs are playing their best basketball yet, despite the winning streak. Hopefully, they keep improving as they head toward the playoffs and are machine-like by April.

We'll have a good idea where the Spurs stand Friday when they go to Denver. The Nuggets have looked awful good as well as awful bad this past month, but they still have those superstars, Carmelo and A.I. I'd be interested to see how they D these guys. If the Spurs are looking sharp, then we're in good shape. If not, well I'm sure Pop will be doing more screaming...

Will the Nuggets climb up if the Mavs and Suns continue to struggle? This should also be interesting. The Nuggets tend to self-destruct, but they also have a history of coming on strong at the end of seasons. Won't take much if the Mavs and Suns can't play .500 ball...

The Spurs are still very inconsistent and that's what they need to improve the most on. I think part of it is that the rotations are pretty varied and sometimes wacky so guys are adjusting to a lot of different lineups, but over the next month they really need to start putting together some 48 minutes of solid defensive and offensive games.

Tim is fine, i never judge him in games where the 2nd half is a blowout and he does not even play in the 4th qtr. Tomorrow he will have to bring it on the back to back in Denver, it will be a tough game, he'll play well. I only look at Tim's performance in games where it is close and he needs to bring it.

Bobby Jackson makes the Rockets bad ass.

They're not playing that well... Indiana shot 48.1 percent tonight and had 2 more shots (81) than the spurs (79) due to the Spurs turnovers (22 for spurs, 16 for indiana).

The spurs won tonight because of their rebounding (indiana 35, spurs 47) and better free-throw shooting (indiana 16-26, spurs 26-33). Tony missed several, Tim shot 1, everyone else made most of theirs.

Exactly.

As for Tim, he carried the team for a fortnight through the RRT and beyond, and in the last few games he's been repeatedly hacked for no call, so I'm not too worried. He sometimes struggles against Denver, so it'll be interesting to see what he does there, but I think he might drop a monster on the Suns and put any Shaq myths to bed.

I know the west is better now, but this team is the best I have seen since 03

The '03 team had a lot of talent and not a lot of discipline; not really something to aspire to. This team has the potential to be as good or better than any of the other teams. Due to Parker's having sat, the upcoming stretch of games has a chance to be the bonding experience the roadeo trip has been in previous years. It'll be fun watching how they respond to it.

Spurs defense is great but thier offense is what worries me.... Thier offensive flow is not what it used to be. They pass the ball WAY TOO much and pass up open shots. Duncans been getting stripped of the ball too much, and the backup PG position worries me as well. i dont trust Damon or Jacque too much....

they have 7-8 weeks to shape things up...
