You all know how it's going to end up. Phoenix, San Antonio, and Seattle will most likely be the top 3 seeds. Phoenix has the lock on the #1 seed and will have a clear path to the Western finals while San Antonio's collapses during the season will end up with them having to go through both Seattle and Phoenix to get to the finals. :pctoss

Relax.

Suns do not have lock on #1 Seed. If Spurs and them win out until next meeting and Spurs win will be 3 behind again with 2 and 0 lead = Spurs made up 5+ on Mavs 2nd half one year. Suns could lose this week to Miami which needs to prove it can beat someone powerful from West once as well.

Believe me if Spurs can stay within 3-5 games there will be a stretch where Suns will fall back some.

More importantly for Spurs short-term is winning Friday, Dallas now only 2 back in loss column!

The Spurs are 2nd.

Ahead of Seattle.

So how would they have to go through Seattle in Seattle.

No worries if Spurs get to mid point 41 games with 32 wins. 28 and 8 = 4 and 1.. Sitting very good by history of this team.

Spurs will at some point this year win 10+ in a row and close gap on Suns and/or if Sonic or even Dallas surges ahead.

You have to get into that negative vibe where the season collapses after ONE FUCKING LOSS, Tpark. Get with the program.

Man, you guys should be used to being an elite team right now... losing to the crap teams comes with the territory!

^I agree with Tawnia. Check the 1999 or 2003 championship vids and you'll see the inevitable recaps of disappointing, buzzer beating losses to choadish teams like Atlanta. They are always there. This is just one of them, but at least it was on the road and to a team who has put an enormous target on the Spurs, what with an 18 game losing streak.

Phoenix has the lock on the #1 seed

The season isn't even half over. Phoenix has a lock on nothing.

Step back and take a realistic look at the situation.
