Nancy Astor was an American socialite who married into an English branch of the wealthy Astor family (she holds the distinction of being the first woman to be seated in Parliament). At a 1912 dinner party in Blenheim Palace--the Churchill family estate--Lady Astor became annoyed at an inebriated Winston Churchill, who was pontificating on some topic. Unable to take any more, she finally blurted out, "Winston, if you were my husband, I'd put poison in your coffee." Without missing a beat, Churchill replied:
"NANCY, IF YOU WERE MY WIFE, I'D DRINK IT."

Ho-hum, here we go again. Why don't some of you nay-sayers find something to do with your time. Better yet, reflect. We lose 22 to 25 games every year, including championship years.
We're down 18. We have 4 to 7 more losses to go. And we're still taking it all.

And we always seem to play better after a loss at this stage of the season.
Re TimVP's criticism of Pop's decision making in the second half of last night's game: Four championships in 9 years and we have the gall to call him a bad decision maker? My guess is that he was looking for something that would work. Why can't we arrive at that conclusion?

Jacque Vaughn sucks, he should've never been in this game. He fucked up 4 straight times and kept increasing the nuggets lead. WTF?

Churchill is my hero!! Most incredible quotes from this man. I have a small collection of Churchill writings and whatnots along with Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and Henry Kissinger.

I'll tell who is not a cupcake is Boston. You go into the lane on them and it's like trying to dribble through turnstyles in the locked postion. They defend the perimeter and close-out well on rotations.
That would be tough to come away with 4 Wins out of 7 with Boston holding HCA.
Houston, Utah and LA are looking extremely good right now in the west. I'm not sure the Spurs can beat any of those teams on the road.

Amazing how far the Spurs have regressed all of a sudden.
Whos the low post threat for the Rockets that the Spurs should all of a sudden be frightened of!??!

The loss last night was good for the Spurs. I watched every second of that game, because I wanted to go through it with them.

"Remember, gentlemen, it's not just France we are fighting for, it's Champagne!"
Now, I can understand quotes or writings from Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Frankling, I can even see some good ones of Churchill... but Henry Kissinger?? That mofo should've rot in jail.
Oh, wait, this is the wrong forum, sorry. :rolleyes

I felt the same way last week. This Spurs team needs another perimeter scorer to be even as good as they were last season. Since they don't have Brent Barry right now, they will struggle on the road some nights...especially as slow as they are to rotate over to cover the baseline & weak side.

He does have a great voice for speech. Maybe the Spurs should look into having him as the arena announcer. :lol

Or the way the Suns' lost to Minnesota in Janurary and Philadelphia March 1st?
Like I've been saying once you start playing real teams this will answer your questions.
Is that why you lost to Denver, the Jazz, and the Hornets?
