I pretty much agree, but I'd put Magic ahead of Kareem, and Chamberlain needs to move up a few spots.

Tim is the greatest power forward in the history of the game, but I don't put him above Wilt, Oscar, Russell, Jordan, Magic, or Kareem. And, it's a toss-up whether I put him past Bird and Shaq, but I would lean towards yes if pressed to answer one way or another.

Well, he has three championship first of all. And, while he had a very good supporting cast around him, he was the best player on all three of those championship teams.

Bird is the reason I'm an NBA fan.
His resume is great, he had that leadership quality and the winning above all mentality.
And he played with passion. Left it all on the court every night.
Towards the end of his career, I'll never forget watching him lay on the sidelines because of how much his back hurt. And then watching him get back in the game and play his heart out.

Oh...he has 3 championships, but only 2 finals MVP's (to go along with his 3 league MVP's.)

I can't put Bird against Duncan though.

I love Bird, when i was a kid i thought he was awesome, but all around from an impact point of view Tim is just better. Look at game 6 Suns last year. Timmy dominated the hell out of that game on both ends. He scored when he had too, blocked shots and altered the hell out of countless others. He was dominating the paint on both ends, like an animal. Bird just could not do all that on both ends like Tim can.

Why? That wouldn't settle anything. We all know that Duncan would abuse Bird in the post and that Bird would light Duncan up from the perimeter. Two different types of players that would most likely not match-up in a regular game of 5-on-5 except on switches. A one-on-one game wouldn't prove anything except that both could fairly easily score on the other.
