+/- stats on Oberto, given he doesn't really do anything else in any other statistical category.
-16 v Pistons
-9 v Hornets
-8 v Nuggets
Hurry Up Tiago 09.
I have no answer, but Oberto has really hit a slump. Maybe starting him might change his attitude or performance, but his on court efforts are killing us on both ends. If he is supposed to be a hustle guy, he needs to hustle. If he is supposed to be smart, he needs to stop making mistakes, he really has no use right now? He looks lost, lazy and lame.

When I read the subject line, I said to myself, "Oberto has stats???"

according to 82games +/- info for the season, our rotation bigs rank-
bonner -1.5
thomas -2.1
oberto -2.2
horry -9.5
and as far as rebounding goes, that means that thomas and oberto are basically neck and neck for the title of best rotation big.
does that mean our rotation bigs suck? probably.
but oberto is one of the best we have, and personally i think a lot of his recent struggles come from pop's constant lineup changes.

Agreed, but I'll never grow tired of the titles.... I just hope it works again this season. To do so, Oberto will have to lift his game.

They should stop playing Oberto, and instead hold a raffle at the beginning of each Spurs' game to see who from the crowd will play back-up center.
I'm sure the outcome would be similar.

If Oberto doesn't play as starter, he's a completely useless.
He isn't a blazing fast performance-player in just a few minutes and we forget him as backup.
As starter (prior KT time) 5 points 5,6 rebounds in 8 games his stats down 4,7 points 5,3 rebounds .
But KT wasn't much better last two games 2 points 4 rebounds in 21'.

Oberto, in my opinion, was affected by being moved to the bench. I don't think that's a good excuse for his play to decline-he needs to get the fuck over it and continue to bust his ass. But yeah, his play has been horrible, most notably ever since Thomas started getting minutes...
