Can't remember seeing the Spurs look so offensively challenged. Even Tim Duncan is starting to resemble a nervous virgin... just can't find the damn hole.

I don't see this team winning the title. It doesn't mean they won't, but it would surprise the hell out of me.

I'm as big a Spurs fan as anyone here, but I just don't see it in them right now. They just don't look like they have it. Maybe they're resting a bit, but I don't know.

Lay off the whisky, dog.

You think the Spurs look like the team to beat right now? Like a championship contender? Too many nagging injuries and the new guys just aren't doing jack shit. Udoka looks like a guy who can't handle the big stage or big game moments, Thomas is either decent or horrible, and I could do a better job than Stoudemire. Sometimes it just isn't your year.

decent or horrible?

What fucking games have you been watching?

Thomas's worst game was probobly last night.
He hit the game winning shot vs the Nuggets, played a great second half vs the Suns.

WTF.

ok, so who REALLY looks like a conteder right now?

Rox most likely. But without Yao nobody sees them coming out of the west.
Lakers? They are soft, and got even softer with Gasol being out?
Suns or Mavs? Still working out their new pieces.

It's a close race in the west, and no one knows for sure what's gonna happen.

The Nba Is Rigged

Wow what a change, just last week there was a bunch of talk about how the spurs were gunna repeat this year and now this, I've always said the spurs need a youth. Not many youths but at least 1 more, the Spurs should look at Gerald Green. He can be a special player under Pop and breathe some life into this franchise but for now you will lose the games you are supposed to lose.

Green sucks ass and can't even play this year anyway. He would be lucky if the Spurs invited him to summer league.

But the NBA is rigged anyway, so why discuss it?

I agree. No one is head and shoulders above anyone else right now as far as actual contenders go. The Spurs are definitely not playing playoff-type basketball as of late, but I think situation is balanced out by all the other uncertanties that other teams have. It's a tight race. The Spurs aren't going into the palyoffs this year as the favorites at the moment, but who really is?

Those people who post crappy threads are known as "bandwagon fans". They are on cloud 9 when the Spurs win, and are the biggest criticizers when they lose. Relax! They will win some and will lose some. Just wait for the post season, which counts.

Some people objectively think that they don't have it going well enough this year to win the title. That doesn't make you a bandwagon fan.

Can we stop these type of threads from being created? today is 3/15/08 - I'm gonna mark it in my calendar so when the spurs win the title I will bump them so we can laugh at those who started them.

What? You don't know what you're talking about. I'm a Spurs fan but I'm not a blind homer. I think way too many things have to go right and improve drastically down the stretch for this team to win another title. I hope they do, but they look gassed.

NONONO in the real world if you are labeled a bandwagon fan the others feel better about themselves. When the Spurs fail to repeat those non bandwagon fans will puff out their chests because they believed. When the Spurs do repeat those non bandwagon fans will rub everyones face in their empty predictions and feel better about themselves as they reach SUPER DUPER FAN STATUS.

Spurs have been the best franschise in the last 10 years of any sport.

I'm not worried if they suck this year. even if they sucked from now on they've given me plenty already. Heck, last time they sucked bad gave us Duncan. Even if this is the end, I don't have any more room for another framed newspaper exclaiming Champs! after the Spurs, Cowboys, and Longhorns success in basketball, football, and baseball. maybe i just need a bigger house.

missed the audio stream of the game tonight because I was at South by Southwest http://sxsw.com/
