Pretty pathetic start for the Cats. They have the talent to compete for upper echelon finish, and all of their bats are just laying a giant egg thus far.

I was pretty impressed with Brad Hutt's stuff when he threw yesterday... I can't say the same about any of the 6 or 7 pitchers that went out today for KSU. 7 hit batters in one game? Wow.

Nebraska's pitching has been absolutely unbelievable since the opening game against Stanford. The real tests come mid-week against Arkansas and weekend after next at Texas.

Hutt's always solid (and seems to save his best stuff for UNL, his home state school).

Yeah, I knew Hutt was from Papio High... just a few over from my old school.

Nebraska was the only Big 12 team to complete a sweep today - and for the record, that's scoreboard over KSU in Baseball, Basketball, and Football.

for the record, we're still playing meaningful basketball.

Prolly gymnastics, too.

After today's 4-3 victory over Oklahoma, that's two series victories that Nebraska has in the bag, and a 5-0 Big 12 start that very, very few predicted the team to have (preseason predictions placed NU around 7th in conference). The series in Austin (which I hope to attend at least once) will be the big test next week, but this Nebraska team is looking awfully promising.

The mid-week series against Arkansas was split with one game each, which is quite respectable.
