they just did a new service pack for xp a while ago. however im on vista now still havent done the upgrade waiting to hear peoples reactions to it

I'll do this in about a week. My hard drive is defective anyway so I'll install it on the bad one after I Ghost it to the warranty replacement.

I have had it since the 18 when I first made this topic and so far everything seems the same, like Nero still only half ways work for me. So if I did not install it myself I would have never known my laptop had it.

eh you dont need it unless you've had your windows update turned off...

vista works great for me.

Forget Vista, roll back to XP. All you get as an upgrade is a more memory intensive operating system and the Digital Rights Management forced down your throat. Vista users will be in an uproar in two years when all their burned HD content isn't allowed to run while XP/Mac/Linux users run around happily.
