Yes they do.

And Duncan has a shot at his fourth Finals MVP.

I can't wait to see him with both Trophies in his hands again.

Gotta play a 48 minute game first. Then it gets easier.

thats WHAT THEY GOTTA REALIZE

THEY HAVE 3 MONTHS IN FRONT OF THEM THAT WILL SEPARATE THEM FROM A GOOD TEAM TO A GREAT TEAM WITH A LEGACY.

When will this organization ever be in the same position? Not for a fucking long ass time.

are we still going into the argument that this year's finals MVP is going to be Manu? :) :danceclub

They also have a shot at OJ Mayo. We're due for another #1 pick from the looks of the calendar. We can't lose either way!

Actually, I hope Manu gets the Finals MVP this time around.

i think if the spurs win this year, and they (get young) next season, we have a chance at maybe two more (to total seven) during the duncan era.
that would be so amazing.

:D :D

anyone else BELIEVE that with me?

My wanting Duncan to get it again is simply my hope that he plays like an MVP and earns it.

As long as we win the Title, the MVP is secondary.

If Manu deserves it, I'll be thrilled for him. Like I was for Parker.

Duncan got us there last year, Parker earned the MVP in that series.

All I care about is the big one but I wouldn't mind seeing Manu with the other in his hands...

Actually to be honest, after watching the Spurs lose a 22 pt lead to the Celtics but still lose by only 2 pts and the Rockets getting splattered by the Celts and Hornets by 20 pts each, I think the one team in the West that can take on the Celtics in the East are the Spurs...and Maybe the Suns. The Lakers are pretenders.

They can beat teams like the Bulls without playing 48 minutes. They aren't going to win a seven game series against a good team like New Orleans or Boston unless they start putting complete games together by the playoffs.

On NBA 2K8 that would happen. Sorry babe, this is the Mavs year and it will be Dirk holding both the Finals MVP and Championship Trophy in June 2008. :clap :clap :clap :elephant :elephant :elephant

The Mavs fans need you Dirk.
They've already had the Wake.

While I somewhat agree with the O.P., I do not think that gives them a free pass for playing like balls lately.

Maybe you should think about ending the losing streak before focusing on the fifth title.

and you are happy with that?!?!?

after 20 years of Robinson, Elliott, Duncan, and Manu?

we could have had more IMO, but the Spurs dedication to cutting costs and alienating younger players has cost us dearly.
