Spurs On Track To Top Ratings For 7th Consecutive Season
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs announced today that its broadcast ratings for the 2007-08 season currently rank first among the NBA, leading all teams in both over the air and cable ratings. If this trend continues, Spurs telecasts will have led the NBA in these two categories for seven consecutive seasons.
Spurs broadcast partners KENS-5, KMYS MY 35 and FSN Southwest have carried a total of 57 games, each leading the NBA with its respected ratings. KENS 5 is averaging a 10.0/17 share through six televised games and KMYS MY 35 has a 10.8/16 rating through 24 games. FSN Southwest has carried the most games to date, rating 6.3/11 share through 25 broadcasts. During this same period, Spurs telecasts have won their time periods against all television programming the majority of the time.
Spurs broadcasts are called by play-by-play announcer Bill Land and analyst Sean Elliott, with Andrew Monaco serving as studio host and sideline reporter. A total of 72 regular-season games will be televised locally on KENS, KMYS and Fox Sports Net, with 28 being presented in HD by AT&T. All over the air playoff games will be presented in HD as well.
