The order is irrelevent but no way do I root for LA, Phoenix, the Dallas Cubans or the Ray Allen Celitics. If the Spurs aren't in it, I'd root for Houston then Detroit, then Utah. After that I'm in 'I don't care' territory. I'll boycott an LA/Boston finals. This year, any year.

Mr.Bottomtooth

Yeah I wouldn't mind the Warriors at all either.

My NBA season ends in synch with the Spur's. I do not care what happens from there up until the new season starts or the new Spurs DVD championship is in stores.

stepmonkey
03-22-2008, 11:28 AM
Nobody. When the Spurs' season is over the NBA season is over.

smeagol

Not the Suns nor the Mavs nor the Lakers nor the Jazz.

I usually lose interest when the Spurs season ends.
If there is a great match up I'll watch just because I love the game.
But I won't be emotionally involved with it.
I do tend to root for the West though.

Lakeshow1.......the poll was for Spurs fans.

Kindergarten Cop
03-22-2008, 02:41 PM
I voted Jazz, because my brother's a big Utah fan - but there are only three teams that I know that I won't root for......Phoenix, Dallas, and L.A. Lakers (in that order).

Sense
03-22-2008, 02:46 PM
Jazz or Pistons...

Allanon
03-22-2008, 03:19 PM
When I don't root for the Lakers, I root for the Spurs, so I'm a semi-Spurs fan. Spurs and Lakers don't really have any bad blood so it's not hard rooting for either team.

Lived in Houston then moved to LA, just following the local teams. Never cared much for the Stevie Franchise led Rockets. But I like these new Rockets so I'd root for them too.

I would root for:
-Detroit
-Warriors
-Utah

Hornets and Warriors, because Paul/West and Davis/Jax light up my world more than any other players outside the Spurs. I love Deron Williams too, but the rest of that Jazz team shits me.

You can get 5-1 about the Celtics at the local bookie though, and I'm very tempted to take that bet. I don't see anyone in the East beating them - they own the Pistons, and the Cavs are a bad matchup but I don't see LeBron winning 4/7 against the Celts on his own with their suffocating D.

Supergirl
03-22-2008, 11:50 PM
Only other team I could root for this year would be Boston cuz that's where I live now.

I'd root for Portland if they were going to be in it, cuz that's where I used to live, after I left Texas.

genomefreak13
03-22-2008, 11:52 PM
Probably Houston. I was a rocket fan before the Duncan era in SA. I think going back to my roots wouldn't be that bad.

Who cares

nfg3
03-23-2008, 11:01 AM
Hornets or Rockets(TX team) but not the Lakers, Sons, Mavs or Celtics. It's sad that I no longer like the Celtics since I was afan of that team back in the 80's - 90's. I just don't like the constant whinning and trash talking by Allen and Garnet. I know others do it to but I particularly don't care for those two players regardless of how good they are.

I like that. And the owner deserves it for sticking by his coach when all the other teams are doing coach roulette or looking for fall guys.

Sloan deserves a ring and I'd root for Utah too if they were still around after Lakers/Spurs.

If the Spurs aren't in it, I won't watch. But it would be nice for New Orleans if they were in the finals. I think it would be a nice boost for the city.

I always root for a team in the East everytime the Spurs loses the WC Finals-Detroit in 2004 and Miami in 2006.(for Alonzo Mourning)

This yr I will continue doing it. I will cheer for Celtics. It's about time KG.
