Thanks Spurs fans for cheering for the Nuggets, as per my request in the game thread :toast :lol :drunk

Huge game for them to win after your team took care of the Mavs. AI, Kmart and Melo refused to lose that game.

btw i know noone did but hey it is nice to be thankful anyway :elephant

I watched the last 4 minutes of the game. Not sure who I want in the number 8 seed, but if the Spurs are #1, I sure don't want the Nuggies there.

Watching Rasho get abused like a red headed stepchild was quite hilarious.

Basically. I don't want the Spurs playing the Nuggets either. However, I don't think the Spurs are going to get the #1 seed. Lakers have a considerably easier remaining schedule and I think they can hold on to that #1 spot.

In which case, I'll cheer extra hard for the Nuggets because I think they'll be a much tougher team for the Lakers to play than the Warriors.

I'm still hoping we somehow get Houston in 1st round.

BTW, Who the heck did the Nuggets beat? :lol

Everyone scared of the Nuggets assumes that the team along with JR Smith doesn't turn into the headcases that they usually do that time of year. Wich they will.

Toronto.

I think the Lakers would crush the Nuggets, just because Phil Jackson is not going to lose to George Karl.

The most interesting pairing would be #1 Hornets against #8 Nuggets. That one might be a tossup.

Right, I don't like the Spurs having to beat this same Nuggets team three times in a seven game series in the span of a few years. Pretty tall task. I don't like the effect of the Law of Probability on that one.

I said in the Spurs game thread that you guys had to cheer for the Nuggets coz i cheered for the Spurs tonight :lol (all a joke of course)

I figured you would want the mavs out of the playoff picture but it may happen anyway with Dirk out now.

GK would get owned by any coach :lol He MAY be waking up himself and hopefully will start JR next game.

JR started the 2nd half tonight and im hoping that means the Ai/JR/Melo/K/Camby lstarting ineup will be at least trialed against the grizzlies

.

Well, I never said the Lakers would lose to them, but I do think they'd be a much tougher 1st round matchup for them than the Warriors. And I don't think it would be a cakewalk either, I could see it going to 6 or 7 games.

Kobe against the next Top 2 scorers in the league. Camby against Gasol/Bynum. I don't think the Lakers play that great of a team defense either so I expect the scoring to be in the 100's. Plus, who's going to guard AI AND Carmelo?

But George Karl would definitely be schooled in coaching by the Zen master in that series...

Plus we'd get that whole mystique of the Kobe back in Colorado factor....:lol

I just don't like the idea of the Spurs getting pounded by a very physical team in the first round, even if they would probably win.

The thing that sucks about the Nuggets is that they CAN play awesome D BUT they only do it in stretches and usually follow it up by letting the other team go on a run lol

Dallas at Denver on Thursday will be a monster game.
This game will count for double given that the team who win will also win the tie breaker.

Ohh, that will be a good game. It's going to be hard for the Mavs to keep up with the Nuggets offense without Dirk.

Very true. That's why I'm hoping they'll grab the 8th seed and the Lakers keep the 1st :)
