http://dallasbasketballdotcom.yuku.com/topic/11764/t/LOTTERY-PICK.html

"0,4 % chance to win the lottery, if we miss the playoffs."

"The lottery pick would help this team. This a very old team that needs a young player who can actually play. The Mavericks will not make the playoffs this year. I just have a gut feeling this team is done."

"This years Dallas pick belongs to New Jersey, unless Dallas Misses the playoffs and gets a lottery pick. The 2010 pick is completely unprotected, if Dallas is the worst team in the NBA and gets the #1 pick, NJ will get it."

http://dallasbasketballdotcom.yuku.com/topic/11803/t/Time-to-trade-Dirk.html

"Trade Dirk to a team that need s a great 2nd option like Clevland. ANd go from there not one other players you woudl keep for the future, so if Dirk goes they all need to go."

"Trade him for Turkugly or Zach Randolph and let's move on. "

We floated pretty much the same ideas during the losing streak.

I wouldn't be at all surprised.

...but they haven't beaten a winning team since the Kidd trade, and nearing the end of the season 2 games out of 9th place (lottery), and will likely be without Dirk for a few games if not the season (and possibly Stackhouse for a game if the league watches the game video).

Some of the same comments on mavtalk.com. Funny thing is, I've seen posts there about how the Spurs championships shouldn't count because the Spurs "tanked to get Duncan." Arguments that Robinson's foot was broken and bringing him back early
A. Wouldn't have accomplished anything, we would miss the playoffs either way and
B. It might have led to further injury to our franchise player
didn't seem to gain much traction. Now those same Mav fans are talking about tanking games when they can still make the postseason. Hypocrites.

lol every team that loses gets fans that make stupid trade posts. Houston gets the trolls saying to trade Yao for Marion. Dallas gets Trade Dirk for Tugolu or Zach Randolph lol. San Antonio gets these trade Parker or Ginobili threads haha. Completely laughable.

No that laughable, the Mav's traded for a washed up Kidd.... As long as Cuban owns them he'll continue to make screw them up....

The only way Dirk will get a ring is if he comes to a team like San Antonio. He would not have to play a lot of defense and would not have to be counted on in the clutch. Ginobili, Parker and Duncan will handle the defense and clutch shooting. Then Dirk would get his ring. He has proven for 8 seasons years that he isn't the type player to carry the load, the pressure gets to him. It's unfortunate but after watching him choke for 8 plus seasons, he isn't going to change. He just needs to be on a team that has players who can handle clutch time for him. The thung act in Dallas isn't going to help Dirk, he needs clutch time players around him..

(Finley understood this, made the transiton and got a ring!)...
