actually i think it was b/c the events happened in greece hours before they were aired on tv. i do know that some events weren't aired live. now that i think of it, that may not be the case with basketball. so i did see that shot live! my tv was on the right channel, and i walked into my room and saw the last 5 minutes or so... awesome!

I WAS THERE!

it's an insult. "your mother's pussy" would be the literal translation but that doesn't make any sense in english.

I don't think Manu has a "best shot ever" - there are SO many that picking one is impossible!

I do know that he has become my favourite 'balla of all time. I never thought anyone would overtake DRob, and it's only by a tiny amount, but I've recently realised that Manu is my favourite player of all.

PS I've never said that before, and am a little freaked out by it, but it feels right. DRob will always rock my world, but Manu is rocking my world just a little more...

StoneCutter, go to Manu's forum, I am sure someone around there must have it. The address is http://www.manuginobili.com/forum/index.php, you can say:

"Hey guys, mine name is StoneCutter and I really would love to have the complete game of Argentina vs USA from the Olympics, thank you! By the way, I speak no Spanish at all, so do not bother replying me, just give me the fucking link"

Hmmmmmm... I feel like a bit of a traitor since DRob has been my favourite player and inspiration in basketball and life for so long. However, none of that is diminshed by admitting that Manu has become the most exciting basketball player I've ever seen, and thus, I guess, my favourite player. His eclectic skills, courage, determination, clutchness and humility, to use only 4 adjectives, are simply astounding.

:toast to MANU!

I think Manu is probably the most exciting player in BB. You never know what he is going to give you on any given night, but you can be certain he is going to contribute in some way.

And here he is, an "overlooked" All Star, coming once again off the bench, because it is "for the good of the team". He has to be one of the most unselfish players in the world. Without a doubt a HOFer. The epitomy of a "Spur". And my favorite player in the NBA.

Even when the Spurs get down, you just know that once Manu comes on the court, things will start to turn in the Spurs direction. He has the "knack" to will the team to play great.

How many less trophies would we have without Manu on the team? How many other coaches out there wonder how they let this one get away?

Argentina's 2004 Olympic team is one of the greatest I've ever seen. They have by far the most exciting halfcourt offense I've ever seen, and I can't wait to see the team back together for Beijing this summer. What a stacked roster that's going to be, too: Ginobili, Nocioni, Scola, Oberto, Delfino, Herman,... :wow

goddam what an asskicking the US got from argentina. That game you can see that Nocioni, Scola and Herman are for real.

what a bitch that marbury is, broke Fabri's hand and in the next play almost breaks someone else's nose.

Yeah, I was so freaking mad at Marbury that day (still hate that loser), Oberto had to miss the final game because of him and "el colo" got hit so hard on the face I was worried for him too... the worst part, no foul was called if I remenber correcly, in both cases.

Manu's best shot ever was when he dunked on 3 Lakers back in 2003! And the Spurs ended up destroying the the Dynasty..and Kobe and fisher were both crying at the sidelines too!

There is a video of this shot floating around here somewhere. It's one of my favorites also.

What I remember from that game is Tim "Mr Fundamental" Duncan. The Lakers tried every player they had on him and he took each of them apart, went for 16 or somesuch in the 3rd quarter (37/16 for the game), and blew the Lakers apart. That day Tim lifted a dark Laker-haze from the eyes of every Spurs fan, and I knew the vindicating championship (after all of the * bullshit) would come our way.
