I had that yesterday.

Brisket (better than any food joint), potato salad, beans, some carrot salad the inlaw makes, and jalapenos. Topped it off with home made chocolate cake and chesse cake.

I love dry BBQ. A lot of places ruin a good meal by a sugary thin sauce.

Speaking of which…

Texas Gold BBQ sauce (the yellow one) is some of the best grocery store bought sauce you can get.

I flew to Denver for an Avs game this winter and I can say one thing - the Pepsi Center concourse trumps the hell out of the AT&T center concourse... more options for food and stuff that I've ever seen in my life. I thoroughly enjoyed checking out the arena (the interior wasn't as nice IMO, though).

cold can kill flavor in richly flavored beers - closer to room temperature, the more flavor. light beers are more tolerable when ice cold.

http://www.ratebeer.com/Story.asp?StoryID=479

The first thing that should be addressed, however, are two very common myths. The first is that beer needs to be served very cold. The macrobrewers want you to believe this, and here’s why. The sensation of coldness inhibits the tongue’s taste receptors. Since macrobrews started positioning their products based on any feature they could imagine besides taste, the need to neutralize taste became important. An alcohol delivery system doesn’t need taste. In fact, taste usually gets in the way. A cold refresher could be anything, and in fact alternatives like soda, iced tea or water generally have a less offensive taste than macrobrew. So again, numbing those tastebuds is important. As for what beer marketers mean when they say a beer “has a cold taste”, your guess is as good as ours. So no, beer doesn’t not need to be near frozen. Good beer in fact should not be near frozen.

I just like cold beer and soft drinks. Cannot stand them warm.

Mikeska's is some good food. I stopped by one day because it stood out in the middle of nowhere and there was a shitload of people there. I figured that many people at a place in the sticks meant it had to be pretty good.
