I have figured out an awesome way to make easy money off of the NCAA Final Four. Follow this:
Tickets to the Final Four on Stubhub Upper Level and better than distant view are going for $500 each or more: http://www.stubhub.com/ncaa-final-four-tickets/?event_id=380783
Now a company named First Dibz that has a deal with the NCAA to get the tickets, lets you buy the option on your team in the Final Four. So if I buy the options of all of the teams left in the Western Bracket I am guaranteed a face value upper level ticket to the Final Four (as one of the four teams must make it).
Here are the teams and prices:
UCLA is $79 http://www.firstdibz.com/sportsMyTeam.html?eventId=700009971&teamId=696398041&leafId=T696398041E700009971&ugid=696398004
Western Kentucky is $20
http://www.firstdibz.com/sportsMyTeam.html?eventId=700009971&teamId=700000104&leafId=T700000104E700009971&ugid=696398004
Xavier is $35
http://www.firstdibz.com/sportsMyTeam.html?eventId=700009971&teamId=696398105&leafId=T696398105E700009971&ugid=696398004
West Virginia is $25
http://www.firstdibz.com/sportsMyTeam.html?eventId=700009971&teamId=696398069&leafId=T696398069E700009971&ugid=696398004
So if you buy all 4 it costs $159 for the options plus transaction fees of $11 so the total is $170 for the options. The face value for the ticket is $170. So the total cost to guarantee a ticket to the Final Four in San Antonio is $340.
You can buy 8 tickets per team with one name and credit card. So you could easily make $150 per ticket times 8- at least $1K.
Tickets need to be in your name and you have to pick them up at the Alamo Dome on the day of the game but you can sell them right after. BTW- you get tickets to both Final Four games and the National Championship so even though you are buying four specific teams, the tickets are not team specific.
First Dibz is legit- the NCAA links to their site: http://www.ncaamarchmadness2008.com/mens/hospitality.aspx
Why am I telling you this? Because I already bought my max and the more people that buy the more my options will be worth. That’s right- you can make your money by holding the options and turning them into tickets or you can sell your options to a fan and potentially make even more money.
Either way- it is a no brainer.
