Someone should write a letter to them when the Pistons play the Spurs in the finals and ask them if there are positions open for writers. All you'd have to do is attach a copy of this poll and tell them that they sorely need new staff.

Well, we're not exactly playing like the best team in the NBA, so I don't know where this indignation comes from.

:lol The Detroit/SA love is strong with the national media! You gotta love the respect the defending champs get! And Detroit owns the league's second best record!
Nice! :tu

No Spurs or Pistons? Thats this years Finals matchup.
The only thing that suprises me more than ESPN omitting the Spurs and Pistons, is their omission of the Cavs :lol

I hope Spurs and Pistons meet and kill the NBA after this year.
Seriously? Dumb mass America doesn't enjoy seeing a battle for every possession of the basketball game? That's a shame.

The Pistons snub is far worse than the Spurs snub.
Agreed.
They just broke the Suns 7 game winning record without the Rip-meister.
DET should be there instead of the Suns.

Now there is a new poll up and the Spurs are on this one.
Gotta love ESPN.

They should follow up with a little NBA trivia quiz. "When was the last time the Larry O'brien trophy was awarded on the basis of a poll?"
Who gives a shit about their poll?

I may not have the same order after the Celtics, but the way we've played against these teams, I'd say they are perfectly justified in compiling this list.

That poll is meant to ask, "Who's playing the best basketball right NOW?" That's the only logical explanation for leaving the Pistons and Spurs off.

I would believe that like alot of other writers do they should start their poll with a lead line like "aside from the champs" or even splitting the poll into 2 parts, like east and west.
