Somewhere in San Antonio.

There's a place on the southside called California Kustoms. They had a tint and alarm special a few weeks ago.

But, seriously. I went to Laredo, Mexico 2 weekends ago with my aunt and she got her windows tinted on her Toyota Camry for $40

It turned out pretty good but then again, I don't know about the Summer heat.

Another thing is be careful what you get, because there are different types of film. Make sure you get a lifetime warranty. Ask alot of questions as to the quality if you plan on keeping the car a while.

Without a doubt, I'm going with something with the lifetime warranty.

That's what I told my aunt but she thought the $40 deal was too good to pass up.

Mother's Window Tint makes your car go thump thump thump.

I don't get that...................They are talking about the stereos they sell. If you put a stereo system with big speakers and an amplifier your car will thump.

When my kids were little they used to call those "boom-boom" cars.

I have a friend that does a good job. He use to have his own shop, but he went to school and got a different career. He still does it out of his garage. He has a lot of clients including myself who are very satisfied. He will fix something if it goes bad. He charges less than Mothers and those other places. If you want, I can hook you up with his number.

It means the cops would have a harder time seeing you in the back of the car going thump-thump-thump. Mother thump.

I wanted to bring this back up (instead of start a new thread) and see if anyone else is familiar with other places in Austin. I've come across Sun Tint online. Obviously there is Mothers, etc, but I don't know of anyone who's ever used them. Anyone in the Austin area had experience anywhere else?

I have a new car coming in within the next week or two and want to get it done pretty soon after arrival. I've never had a car tinted before but did know going in to get a lifetime warranty. I wanted to do it through the dealership I'm buying from but they told me just to get it somewhere near me because it'll be cheaper since it won't be contracted out of the dealership.

I know prices all depend on the car, quality of tint... but a ballpark figure? I assume $125-175ish...? I've tried to research online a little but am not getting too much info on pricing, or opinions on places in Austin.
