I could see it happening, he has tremendous amounts of respect for Duncan

and would be just what the Spurs need

As I've said before, if he'd behave here, I'd welcome him.

he'd be valuable as a player

but would he stay that way? i'm not too positive. I'd honestly say stay away if it weren't for that tim duncan quote from a ways back.

What are the chances that Spurs Dynasty 21 starts just one thread that is not apoplexy-inducingly idiotic?

Galileo answered my post before I even posted it. How did you do that?

Indiana and Detroit were the best teams in the East and he blew it. He got the Kings back to the playoffs and now he blew that. Too risky

It ain't going to happen unless he signs for the MLE.

Not any worse than Mad Max was for the Rockets. Didn't he play for you guys too?

Yes, and we got rid of him, as well as that Rodman fella.

I guess he wants to get a year long suspension again or something.

Slightly better than the chance of Rodman coming back here. Both players are/were capable of having an impact on a basketball game.

But the same could be said for a bomb threat.

little to none. spurs already acquired kurt thomas this season. next season, the FO is expected to bring in tiago splitter and ian mahinmi. the team can use additional scoring though which is something artest also brings to the table. if that were to happen, the spurs will have a glut of big men.

i, however, won't hold my breath.

Am I misreading you, or are you saying that Artest is a "big"?

He's a 6'7" SF. Splitter, Mahinmi, and Thomas play C/PF. How would they affect whether or not Artest comes to San Antonio?

I really don't see this happening. Do you guys really see Pop taking a chance on Artest coming and screwing up the team he has carefully built? We'll also have several younger players with little NBA experience - Tiago, Ian and maybe others - Marcus? - coming on board next year and their development would be hurt by his on court/locker room antics. I fully believe that even if he was on his best behavior it would only last so long until he blew a fuse. Pop has prided himself in bringing in players of character who would be positive influences on the team and therefore the younger players.

Artest is a loose cannon! Love his talent but the dude is missing not just a few screws but a whole lot of parts.

Anyway I think we would all enjoy seeing he and Zeek develop a wonderful relationship together. I really want to see that happen. Along with the fireworks. Imagine him on that team! Can't wait.

Didn't he beat his wife or something like that? I could of sworn he did something like that and even if it's off the court it can still negatively effect a team.
