matt bonner. As much as stoudamire has sucked, he can still get hot all of a sudden. That could be huge come playoff time.

I thought it was a 14 man roster? It would be good to have both of them active. Just in case.

This years version of NVE - the Mouse.

You'd think Pop would've learned his lesson by now.

Depends on matchups. The whole roster is available in the playoffs, so you choose the 12 you think helps the most for each game.

If Barry is in game shape, you likely sit Damon though since Barry can give you spot/emergency minutes at point (and you can activate Damon the next game if an injury occur).

Mahinmi is probably the only person we can guarantee won't be active for games.

Fortunately (hopefully) it looks like he has. Notice how many minutes Damon has been getting lately.

Save Bonner until the Finals and then unleash him for dominance.

The Red Rocket, aka RedBull, aka The Garnett Stopper, aka Big Red Thunder, will not disappoint.

No team with D. Stoudamire as it backup guard will ever win an NBA championship. :)

Rather have Bonner. Horry is on the downslide. If he can't stay healthy, it'll be helpful to have a big man like Bonner who can rebound and spread the floor for us. Plus, he's been with the Spurs longer and knows the plays and system a lot better.

If Vaughn isn't doing good, Ginobili or Barry could always be the backup.

:lol You'll want him come playoff time. Trust me. Not having Horry on a playoff roster is very stupid.

^I didn't say not have Horry on the roster. Of course that's never going to happen. I just said if Horry's knee gets reinjured during the playoffs, or if he's not playing well, it'd be nice to have another rebounding Big who can hit the 3 and spread the floor. The choice was who would you leave off the roster, Damon Stoudamire or Matt Bonner...I'd go with Stoudamire.

Damon is a lost cause to me.

Of course, it's always nice to have Horry if the Spurs are lucky enough to make it to the finals and meet the Pistons. Heck, I would tell Pop to put Horry out there even if he's hobbling on one leg just to put some fear in the Pistons minds ;)

Moot discussion. Pop can pick and choose game to game. But, assuming your scenario, I'd probably go with Mouse so long as Horry is healthy. Mouse could play alongside Parker in some match-ups.

Really, I don't think it matters though. I would be shocked if either player is on the team next season.

I think Damon will be on the inactive list.

If you put Bonner on the inactive list, Spurs will only have 4 active bigs and it's not enough in case of foul troubles.

Bonner isn't going anywhere he has a 3 year contract and i don't think somebody would trade for him

Damon hasn't been as bad as NVE. For one thing, when NVE was getting all those minutes, Beno (it sounds now insane to say) was actually playing decent at the time. Damon isn't holding anyone back except Vaughn, who was playing that well until the last few games. I would still throw out Damon a time or two more to see if he responds to his benching.

Damon has been exactly what he seemed like on Memphis. Competent but slow and shooting a low percentage.

I'd leave Damon off the roster; as has already been stated, Bonner knows the system better and could sub for Horry if he can't break out of his regular-season slump.

The question assumes Barry is healthy, and he can back up Tony and Jaque at the point guard position (he also is much more familiar with the system than Damon).

Put Stoudamire on the IR. Vaughn has been playing well lately, and Ginobili and Barry can also play a few minutes at PG in an emergency.

Also, it is more important to have extra bigs on the bench in case of foul trouble.
