i don't know if anyone else noticed this, but it really upsets me that NBA.com's block of the night didn't go to tim duncan, but it went to dwight howard.

i understand how the NBA doesn't like the spurs, but what really, really, really pissed me off is that the block they showed of dwight howard, was really goaltending. :madrun

that's the link, and the video is the first one on top.

I said after the game that Duncan block needs to be in the top 10. But fucking NBA.com put rather D.H. block, which is pretty good, but both Duncan blocks were better.

it was goaltending because it had hit the backboard already.

I like how they overhyped the dunk with the caption... "Watch Dwight Howard send Tony Parker's shot back, but masterfully keep it in play for the Block of the Night."

Typical anti-Spur media

Another angle shows that it hit the backboard first. The angle they showed looks like a good block.

It clearly hit the backboard first. Violet Palmer is a bad referee.

"Watch Dwight Howard GOALTEND Tony Parker's shot back, but masterfully keep it in play for the GOALTEND of the Night."

My goodness!!! The NBA's hatred of the Spurs is obvious in the fact that only 2 times this season has a Spurs player had the Block of the Night! In fact, Tim Duncan has swatted away 131 shots this season -- 7th best in the league, mind you -- without ever having had the Block of the Night. How could he not have had Block of the Night at least 3 or 4 times this season?!?!!?

Frankly, I think the conspiracy against the Spurs is evident in this systematic exclusion of Tim Duncan from such a high honor!!! I mean, the last time Tim had the Block of the Night was June 15, 2007. Before that, it was June 8, 2007. And before that, it was May 19, 2007.

Bitching whether or not a player makes a particular highlight is the purview of fans whose teams have not won titles. Let it go. :)

Goaltending.

Dwight Howard is the all-star hero, of course they're not gonna make it look like he can't dunk over someone like td.

I agree that the anti-Spurs bias is a disturbing flexion on our society.
