It sure seems like the Suns lose everytime I make a gameday thread. Maybe I'm the reason the Suns have never won it all. Maybe I should become a Spurs fan. Anyhoo...

Will KG embarrass Amare on D?
Will Amare embarrass KG on D?
Will Amare and KG put aside their differences and make passionate gay love at centercourt?
Will Ray Allen try to join them?
Will D'Antoni's 'stache kill some unsuspecting fan?

All of these possibilities seem likely...

KG is a better all-around player, but Amare is going to score at least 30. KG's defense is the most overrated among PFs. Give me Rasheed or Duncan's defense ANY DAY.

Go Su ... I mean go Cel ... oh, hell, I have no idea who I want to win. Prolly Boston, just bc the Suns have been so hot and it would help the Spurs in the standings.

But if there was a way for Phoenix to lose without Boston winning, I'd be all for it.

Amare's gonna drop 40 tonight.

:lmao

As for Amare, there's really no one in the league that can stop him, at least no individual defender. It takes a solid defensive plan aimed at stopping him, and a committed team defense. And even then, you'll likely give up a lot to Shaquille. Pick your poison.

That said, the Suns still gave up 85 offensive rebounds in the first half. Disgusting. Grab the fucking rock once in awhile, Amare.

Suns - 62.2%
Celtics - 46.7%
GAME TIED

I swear I've seen that trend a million times this season. Despite what everyone says about them, the Suns are a decent defensive team--especially as of late, they've been limiting their opponents to a very low shooting percentage. But even with Shaq, those same teams are getting a ridiculous amount of second-chance points. It's not as bad as it was pre-Shaq, but it still needs some work.

I see a lot of good teams do that including the Spurs and Pistons every once in a while.

They do that so that if they miss there is still time for a O-board and another shot. Also some teams are very confident in their defensive ability.

Down 1 point with 20 seconds left, no shot clock concerns, Manu Ginobili shoots and scores the basketball with 13 seconds left.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playbyplay?gameId=280221016

Down 1 point with 10 seconds left, no shot clock concerns, Manu Ginobili shoots and makes a jumper with 6 seconds left.

Different situation when you're down points versus when the game is tied and you don't want the other team to get another shot. If you're down points, some coaches believe that you should shoot with a few more seconds left on the clock to allow for an offensive rebound or two.
