See Kurt Thomas as a weakness? One of the unheralded portions of the Spurs offense was Oberto and Elson stepping out to the 16-18-ft. jumper after Duncan draws a defender.
Thomas is better at crashing the offensive boards, but he creates more defense for Duncan to see in the postseason because teams don't respect his passing and jumpshot.

Actually I thought Thomas was known for being able to knock down the outside jumper.
His mid range jumper is more consistent than either of the other two.

thomas is a better jumpshooter than oberto and elson

Umm...one of the reasons they brought him in was because he can shoot from the outside.

yeah, KT is famous for his 15-16ft jumper. its his biggest asset aside from his post defense. i dont know where this is coming from...

Seeing him play, I actually have confidence in him to knock down that shot during the playoffs. I'm interested to see how he and Ime perform.

Is anybody concerned about Tony Parker's ability to get to the rim when he penetrates? It just seems like Jacque Vaughn and Beno Udrih were better finishers. Could this be a weakness in the playoffs?
Is anybody else worried about Manu Ginobili's energy level when he's in the game? One of the unheralded portions of Michael Finley's and Brent Barry's games were their ability to spark the offense and change the tempo. This could come back to bite us.
Also, what about Bruce Bowen's perimeter defense? It seems suspect to me. I miss the lockdown game of Danny Ferry back in the day.
This will be our undoing in the playoffs, I tell you. Well, that and Tim Duncan's lack of fundamentals and footwork in the low post.

And here I thought it was Pop's lack of big game coaching experience that would doom the Spurs.

In the Pistons fan's defense, Francisco Elson played like the second coming of Kareem Abdul-Jabar last year against the Pistons. He might have had his two best games of the season versus Detroit.
