It's ridiculous to suggest that there has been a better player in this tournament and that fact won't change just because Davidson doesn't reach the Final Four. It's time to break with this tradition of the MOP coming only from the champion and give that award to the best player in the tournament.

I get what you're saying and agree to a point, but there's something to be said about a player who performed in all 6 games and not just the first 3 or 4. He may not have Curry like stats, but a guy who leads his team to a title probably should get the nod over a guy with big numbers but lost in the elite 8 or final 4.
