This second Spurs unit is a turnover fest.

Hornets won tonight, Knicks choked late in the game...losers.

good thing about this loss if ever, is Utah will be 4th seed ahead of Phoenix and get home court advantage(which will be scary since Utah is dangerous at home but that's Phoenix's concern:D) and,

Spurs might be targeting the Rockets in the 1st round not the Mavs(?)

If the game is meaningless, you'll see the Same players play the 4th.

Ian Mahinmi probobly plays, along with Horry and Barry.

Other than that. doubt it.

Finley, Ginobli, and Oberto laid eggs. Bowen wasn't much better.

Parker and Duncan had nice lines but the Jazz played them really tough and it was hard for them to work through a lot of that physical play.

Kurt Thomas was the only positive I can think of.

The Spurs will get there chance in SA on the last day of the season.

Yeah they have these games once about every 3 or 4 weeks.

It was coming and due after the last two games.

Plus it was a regular season game in Utah, so all of their no pressure studs would show up.

Let the Hornets burn themselves out. Slide to 3rd, beat the Rockets in 4, wait for the winner of Lakers Mavericks.

Spurs are 32-6 at home, behind only Utah at 35-4 and Boston at 33-6...as long as SA has one of the top 4 seeds, they are good to go in the playoffs. Sure, it sucks to get blown out like that, but it's not that important in the grand scheme of things...remember, it was Utah in Utah...almost nobody fucking beats them in SLC during the regular season. Playoffs are a different story...Okur will choke as usual in the playoffs and Utah will go down in 5.

You know how Pop thinks, we killed the last two teams we played...completely KILLED them by a combined total of 45 points.

This is a good game for us, coming off that 8 game streak..it's a reality check that we still gotta keep the gas pressed.

Not that I'm excited we lost, but I can't be too mad knowing this.

Williams left the game in the first quarter to have his ankle re-taped. … Duncan and Parker were the only Spurs who scored in double figures. … The Jazz close the regular season April 16 at San Antonio, where they haven’t won since 1999. … The Spurs did not score for the final 2:04 of the second quarter.

I don't think we should panic or anything. The Spurs were playing some damn good basketball last year in the WCF's and we lost by about this much to the Jazz in Utah. This loss doesn't mean shit, except standing wise. I'm disappointed we didn't win; the Spurs, however, relied too much on the officials and I really think that distracted them. The refs sucked total ass, I now know why Utah has their home record-it's because the refs don't call jack shit and they HACK and HACK and HACK. Jesus Christ, it was so frustrating watching the Spurs get hacked and there be no call. Despite that, we didn't make our open shots too much and we got outrebounded and blah blah blah. But yeah, the Spurs are fine. You can lose bad even when you've been playing fucking great. See: WCF's Game 3 Spurs vs. Jazz.

And the Spurs wouldnt get a fucking call even if they got run over by a bus tonight, and when you shoot 24-66 for 36.4% overall and 2-12 from 3 for 16.7% that shits not gonna cut it, we'll be fine.

The NBA television rights allow for big market teams to clinch a playoff berth 1 game earlier than small market teams. It's just how the rules are.

Spurs will use the game film from this game as motivation, especially with that fuckface Sloan leaving all the starters in up 20.

I won't go into too much regarding the game because I know that wasn't the Spurs team that will be in the playoffs. I just want to comment on this because a few of you brought it up.

We have a history of blowing big 4th quarter leads at home. Just a couple weeks ago we let a 22 point 4th quarter lead get down to 3 against Charlotte's second team before we pulled away. The next game we had a big lead against the Clippers at home and we let them back into the game until we picked it up and pulled away. Last year we blew a 21 point 4th quarter lead at home against Seattle and ended up losing that game.

The last thing Sloan would do is show up the Spurs. I mean come on people...how stupid do you think he is? Lets see, I'm going to piss off the team that's owned us for the past 10 years by leaving the starters in the game for an extra 2 minutes. Sloan usually will keep the starters in the game until the under 3 minute timeout just like he did last night. There wasn't a starter on the floor after that timeout. Knowing our past history of blowing leads, it was the right thing for him to do.

Shouldn't you guys be a little more pissed at how your team played then at our coach who was supposedly rubbing it in by leaving the starters in the game for 2-3 minutes too long?

You fucking faggot. Have you watched a Jazz game in the past 20 years? Sloan has a set rotation that ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, stays in. If you don't want your team to get blown out then they should play better, you fucking fagbot. This isn't some girls CYO league and the Spurs aren't entitled to never get blown out. Full hangover in effect, for our boys. With about 9 min. to go everyone here kept wanting Pop to reinsert the starters but it seemed like he wanted them to sit and watch Jazz starters play team ball, perform assists and lobs, fast breaks, stop and pop treys. If Pop wanted the starters to squirm real bad watching the opponent execute on a higher level, Sloan aided in that department, Pop, could you ask for anything more?
Anyways, the Jazz smelled blood when Euro-crowd hardened Fabs jittered away what was it, three gimme's in a row it seemed like. After the perimeter game was jilch as Finley, Bowen and Udoka took their extended coffee break, that's when the dam burst and tall timber clogged the lane, slowing down and minimizing Timmy's, Tony's and Manu's forays into the paint.
When one of your worst shines the best in the waning moments of the game well, that's when I gave up, as Stoudamire did what others couldn't do consistantly, not that his performance was great, just in comparison it stood out!

Wow...man...what a sorry ass spurs thread this one...

insults aside...as a spurs fan i totally agree with Jazz fans on this one...if you got a problem with another team leaving their starters in, hey, here's a radical suggestion:

!!!!!!!!!!!! play some fucking D !!!!!!!!!!!!

These are Professional Basketball Ball Players - not the pee-wees at your local YMCA...

If i were a coach...and i wuz up by twenty and getting close to the playoffs i'd do exactly what this mother fucker did...

leave my starters in so that i can practice some of the things i wanna practice and get good at in the best possible pracitice scenario i can envision: in a real game situation...against the world champions... a first rate squad i may see again...and while im doing it also gain a little more confidence for my guys...

naturally, Pop knows all this and pulls his aces out...but who gives a shit...its the same fucking team jersey and a good opportunity to get better in a real game situation where the team is kicking some ass...

spurs fans stop bitching, moaning, and crying...the focus should be anywhere but in this sorry ass thread...
