The Mavs have gone from massively overrated to massively underrated in one season. They will make some noise in the playoffs and won't back down. Kidd has clearly lost a step or two, but there is still Dirk, who posses a matchup nightmare to any team in the NBA, Josh Howard, once he finally finds his brain, will compliment Dirk nicely.

I will not be surprised at all if the Mavs get to the WCF.

Standing wise, I hope Mavs win, but I just don't see it happening. Lakers just got Gasol back, Kobe always seems to play huge against the Mavs, and Dirk isn't fully healthy, not to mention the Mavs' road record isn't that great.

My prediction: Lakers win by 10+.
