My father (RIP) grew up in Kansas and once scored 50 points in a HS bball game there - no mean feat in the 30s. He was never able to attend college but was always a KU (NOT K-State!!) fan, so I've been a fan for a long time.

I was there(mon. nite tix were cheap) and even though i don't like Memphis with their William Wesley connection and I hate Dorsey it made me sick to watch a team choke away a national championship like that. And I don't give a damn what Calipari says, his kids had no idea in hell if they were to foul or not and he is lying thru his teeth if he says otherwise. Everything had to go wrong the last two minutes for Memphis to lose and they somehow did just that. I congratulate Kansas for staying alive but really if any other team from the sweet sixteen had been up 9 with 2:12 to go they would have won. Only Memphis was capable of blowing an opportunity that for them may not come around for another 40 years.
