In the 4 years before drafting tim duncan the spurs won 55,62,59,and then 21 games...why 21?..David Robinson missed 76 games,Sean missed 43 games...so the FACT is the spurs won the lottery with a damn good, but injury riddled team, with duncan comin in the league with a silver spoon in his mouth...unlike the great SHAQ,who was drafted by a genuine 21 win orlando team and led them to the finals in 3 years..Duncan also has had the same coach his whole career, hes great but boring and overrated

neither Robinson nor Sean were nearly as good after the injuries.

Robinson dropped from 25 points/game to 21 ppg. Then to 15.8 ppg the next season.

You can't really be serious in saying that Shaq is UNDERRATED? Shaq? The one guy people are saying is one of the most dominating C to ever play the game (along with Wilt). One of the 50 greatest players. Now that is funny. Someone actually calling Shaq underrated.

LOL, Shaq "led" the Magic to miss the playoffs his first year, landed the #1 pick, traded that pick for Penny Hardaway. Then the Magic got Ho Grant, Nick Anderson and Scott improved, and then made the finals in an incredibly weak East that year, then proceeded to get swept by the Rockets.

Duncan led the Spurs to a championship his SECOND year. Yeah, he is overrated.

Shaq and underrated should never go together. I don't think he's overrated, but the dude has gotten his due over the years. There's a reason people call him the most dominant big man to ever play the game.

Timmy overrated? the spurs have been in the hunt to win a championship every year since Timmy got in, and it's not like Timmy has had amazing teams. I don't want to hate on our older teams, but until Manu and Tony started to really come into form, which was within the last 3 years, Timmy had to do EVERYTHING for our team. Shaq at least had Kobe. When they were on their run in the early 2000s, Kobe was considered the best perimeter player, at least a top 5 player. Not to hate, but Manu and Tony have NEVER EVER been considered top 5 players in the league, not even close. So basically, Shaq at least had Kobe while Timmy had to carry our teams to title contention. Overrated? HA, I consider him underrated.
