I like savage for one simple reason. He's intellectually honest ... Unlike hush and whannity who contort their opniosn so much I have zero respect for them..
Cracks me up; I enjoy listening to him; tough with young'uns in the car, though.

I heard him a few times and one night he was raggin' on some guy that was dressed up in a chicken costume in front of a KFC protesting the slaughter of chickens or something. He called the guy a "snot-nosed little punk", and said he didn't normally eat there, but would because of the protester.
Calls it the way he sees it, and doesn't play favorites. Occasionally funny without trying to be.

I can only take so much of him. I don't like some of his opinions of others, but politically, I'd say he's spot on. I just have a very hard time listening to any Shock-Jock for any length of time.

I listen to his show from time to time. He's a right-wing nut, IMO.
Good to listen for awhile, he's like that crazy uncle you only see once in a blue moon.

He's a bit of a bomb-thrower. I'm generally in agreement with him politically in the generals if not the specifics. He's a bit of a downer, in my opinion, very negative
Rush, on the other hand, is generally optimistic and views America positively. And he's funny.

Literally the one time I've heard him in my entire life he was talking about how propoganda was a good thing and how the US government needed to use it to "instill proper hate" in us. Literally that was his thesis; that we, as Americans, don't have a proper amount of hate for the middle east and that the government should be using propoganda to create it. That's all I needed to know about him and those "people" who listen to him.

You know a person can listen to someone and not agree with him/her 100% of the time right?

Yeah, you're right. I should have said- Those "people" who subscribe to his ideology. Still, this dangerous kook isn't worth my time, even time spent disagreeing with him.

He says some wacky shit. His take on the Texas Mormon wackos was so stupid.
But he still has some good takes on other things.

I'm not sure what his take was on the FLDS. It couldn't be more out there than my opinion though. I'm a full on bigot when it comes to that shit. I advocate creating concentration camps for regular mormons, much less these FLDS.
Hopefully, Savage wasn't defending those rapists.

Michael Savage is the perfect example of why free speech is necessary. I do listen to him, and find myself disagreeing with him fairly often. But he has a right to say what he says, and he's spot on about CAIR. The fact that people try to sue him to get him off the radio shows how much we've contorted what free speech means.

His real name is Michael Weiner and he used to be a San Francisco beatnik. I guess that didn't pay as well.

I'm not saying I'm a fan of this guy or anything, but I have been listening to him as of late.
Why in the hell is he banned in Britain?

I've only listened to his show a few times and was pretty much put off by most of what I heard, but there was a fairly long piece about him in the New Yorker recently that made me wonder how much of his rants are simply part of his schtick to get high ratings.
Judging from what I read, I suspect he may one of the more intelligent radio personalities out there. It also sounds like he is still wrestling with some demons from his past.

It's pure right wing bitterness, but at least he's genuine about it.

Same here. I flip stations during commercials, but always end up back at Ward.
