Peja fouls Gasol at the exact moment he flubs the rock :lol
Peja wasn't known for laying fouls when he played for Kings, guess he isn't much better in N.O.

hmm If the Lakers lose then the Rockets would be 4th and the Lakers would be 5th. Utah would move up to third despite their inferior record simply because they are winning their division. That would mean a Lakers/Rockets first round game. So goooooo Hornets!! Rockets want Utah.

Actually...it means nothing unless all teams in your sample don't play any more games. ;)

I hate it when after Kobe gets called for the foul he shakes his finger at the ref, with that smile on his face, like he's saying "You're an ass that time, Buddy".

This is the same kind of game we saw when we had Bynum back in January. When we can neutralize the CP3-Chandler P&R it really limits the Hornets on offense.

The game isn't over yet. This is the NBA, everyone makes runs. The Lakers need to stop shooting the 3 and get to work on the inside. Take it to Chandler often and early and get him the hell out of the game.

Could be, but I don't expect Lakers to let this one get away.
Kobe should really get involved with the offense early like that every game. Finding a balance between all or nothing might be in order at this point. :lol

Lakers are doing everything right now. That jab out of bounds by Fish after Paul received the inbounds brought up two more defenders, creating the turnover. Then the shotclock violation, tick tock tick tock time coming off the clock to the tune of 24 seconds and Lakers steal the inbounds after the violation.
104-97 with 1:10 left.

Happy for the win, but the Lakers have got a lot of work to do before we are going to contend for the championship. We need an infusion of veteran leadership because our young players aren't quite ready to deal with the pressure of playoff basketball.
Hopefully we can add some vets in the offseason and come back next year with a healthy Bynum as well. In the meantime I'll enjoy the ride, but deep down I know we aren't quite there yet.

Well, we pulled it out...barely. However the hornets hit a lot of shots and played great D. Luckily we pulled it out with some clutch D and nice plays by Kobe and Pau. The hornets have no answer for Kobe....that's the key right there.

Houston still has a chance to be the number 1. That's how crazy the standings are. Meanwhile Suns at 6 and Mavs at 7 are almost sure things now. Those 2-7 and 3-6 series will be amazing, no matter who the top seeds are.

I think people are underestimating the Rockets ...i would rather play them because of no Yao ...but they will NOT be an easy out due to their defense ...
