This is very disturbing and rather frightening! I hope this causes the parents of the conservative students and others in the community to raise the alarm and put a stop to this nonsense! And they call conservatives intolerant?!

Exactly who are you talking about, Joe?

Meanwhile...is it any wonder conservatives have had it with run-of-the-mill racist liberals? Any wonder why conservatives have begun to fight back in the face of the usual lies and distortions from the left?

This is your party, Joe. You claim to be moderate and against all this, but standing silent while the racists of this board claim your party as their foundation.

Do you really want to be associated with people like this?

travis, not one place in that article did it say that the students on offense were the local chapter of the campus Democratic club. Sounds like some upset Middle Easterners, for the most part, with a dash of extreme radicalism. Stop bashing Joe about Democrats. This ain't them. There are plenty of other types of people who have had it with the NeoCon Republicans.

Damn Travis, I cannot be responsible for the whackos in my democratic party any more than you can be responsible for the right-wing nuts in your party.

That's the problem sometimes. Lumping people into groups is sometimes the problem.
I know many conservative republicans who are pro-choice and for gay-rights.
I also know some neo-cons who want the US to strong arm every nation that disagrees with the US. Are all conservatives that way? I pray not.

I don't think Rush, Ann Coulter, Sean insHannity, Michael Savage or the other conservative mouths out there represent the republican party.

They do! That is why they are popular. Michael Moore by in large represents the democrats. Difference we are not ashamed of our voices.

If you think Michael Moore represents the democratic party then that is your problem.
I don't know too many republicans that are proud of Michael Savage or Ann Coulter.
Even they admit they are too far to the right for them.
I am not ashamed to say that there are some democratic voices that I do not agree with. I don't expect to agree with all other democrats but I think our beliefs and goals may be on the same lines.

Anyhow I'm a democrat and proud of it. Damn right....err, left.

No, that is the democratic party's problem.

I have always voted Republican - in fact, I'm one of those conservatives who would stay home rather than vote for a pro-choice, pro-gay rights republican candidate and I love Rush, Sean and Ann! I think they speak for the majority of conservatives - Michael Savage is a little too much over the top for me, but I think the others are right on - include Laura Ingraham in that bunch too!!

JoeChalupa
01-17-2005, 04:17 PM
If they speak for the majority of conservatives..? Then they must not be speaking for the more level headed conservatives that I know.

The only one I can stand is Sean insHannity but even he thinks too highly of his own opinion. I'll never stay home on election day. I'd rather go vote for the person that I want and not just stay at home. I want to let the country know that there are plenty of us out there that do not agree with Bush's policies.

I don't want no homophobic, fear propoganda, advice refusing man in the White House.

Thanks for your 2centsworth.

I guess I'm guilty as the next conservative right?

Since I'm labeled as "unpatriotic" if I speak out against President Bush.
I have no morals since I'm a "liberal" and hate Christianity although I'm a Catholic.
I have no morals since I'm a "liberal" and accept homosexuals.

Am I being unintellectual? :) :)

Did you actually READ the damn article? If so, you weren't paying attention. Middle Easterners? A handful.

Most of the criminals were card-carrying liberals just like those you like to identify with.

Trust me, there are PLENTY who have had it with run-of-the-mill liberal Democrats...many of whom look just like these.

And once again...though I've stopped being surprised...you don't have anything bad to say about such criminals.

You don't recall? You mean you were there?

And yet another one who refuses to denounce some of his "own".

Look, Joe, I know you are different. My "who are you talking about" was meant to be somewhat humorous. But I'm sick and tired of people like Barbara Boxer, Ted Kennedy, et al, spewing lies and distortions (provable lies and distortions by the way) and no one saying anything about it. And people on this board actually defend people like that.

When David Duke "decided" he was a Republican, I had no problem denouncing him.

Why do liberals have problems with their own?

If you hate Christianity, you are not a Catholic.

I am Catholic and I never said I hated Christianity.

What I said was that many conservatives think liberals hate Christianity.

I am Catholic and I never said I hated Christianity.

What I said was that many conservatives think liberals hate Christianity.

Your allusion was poorly phrased then. The other two items were in the form "I am {fill in blank} because I {fill in true statement}"...therefore I assumed your statement "I hate Christianity" was also a "true statement".

JoeChalupa

My bad. I was being sarcastic.

The perception I think is that since some liberals are calling for the removal of religious symbols on government buildings they presume that they are against religion or Christianity when that may not be the case.
