Timmah is missing so many shots inside it's sickening and pathetic. Put some work in Tim Bob.

Duncan needs to be meaner and less whiney. He lets teams take him out of regular season games. He needs to be more aggressive at the rim and flush it. Even a 2 foot hook or layup can come out, as he's proven like 8 times today.

Indeed Tim looks horriable, but he is not only one.
Spurs just don't look right. Panic button switched ON

I'm hoping it's a funk that he'll work through.

But I have to admit I'm starting to get concerned.

Tim needs to quit acting like such a fucking baby when he doesn't get a call.

That's not saying he SHOULDN'T get the call, but it shows signs of old age when you miss and complain to the fucking ref "Hey man I got fouled" after every miss.

And also these pathetic jump shots just will not work for a 7foot 260 pounder.

True that buddy.

Umm I'm watching this last few minutes in awe. Spurs simply looking like 2001 in big stretches of time.

We need to find a way to avoid, NO, Ut, LAL, Pho, Den, Dal in the playoffs - sarcasm but I'm not laughing

I'm sorry to put this here, but WTF are the spurs doing?!

Another demolishion

Pop have absolutely no answer for the best teams in the leauge. Players are devastated. No way to gain some confidence and rythym.
It's beyong imaginantion at this stage how the spurs can turn this situation turn around.

They can turn it around because every one starts at 0-0 in the Playoffs.
I still believe they can turn it up when it matters.

well...I had high hopes coming in, but Tim basically single-handedly killed them. He played beyond pathetic basketball out there. I don't think he made a single shot that wasn't a putback/goaltend. Every shot he took didn't even have a chance.

He looks slow, lacks any confidence whatsoever, his FT inconsistency is back, and he's playing like an idiot to top everything off.

Spurs looks like a frozen hamburger

Even when they are starting playoffs 0-0 there is something like mental wins and loses. I don't know if the spurs still belive that can beat utah, phoenix or lakers. They got embarassed on international coverage every one of the meetings.
CIA?
Yup - the spurs can't even hit a set jumper after timeout.

Damn that game was suppoose to be against best teams in the West, wasn't looking like that. It was not competitive either.

I'm going to sleep. And I even don't want to see ST jumping of the cliff

1Parker1

Is Duncan injured or tired maybe? I also think a big part of it is that teams are getting away playing him physically and teams can double him a lot easier now and they'll gladly take their chances with guys like Vaughn, Oberto, Finley, and Udoka beating them and taking jump shots.

And where is Tim's mental peace?

Not getting frustrated, playing through good and bad calls, being concentrated all night long.

Good better best, just get some rest ...

Timmy is playing the worst stretch of baskeball heading into the playoffs of his entire career. His in need of a big game before the playoffs begin, or the Spurs could be out in the first round.

Well, nearly all of my hope of this team winning the title has vanished with the loss. God, I really don't want to believe that our team's run could be over.

Let's all hope they can some how, some way get things going in the right direction.

Excuse won't bring this team another title. Shit, the Lakers have been playing with key guys out for a longer stretch and they've in all likelihood locked up the #1 seed today.

Timmy played like a puss bag today, there are no otherways around that fact.

Complaining after a miss is Duncan's signature move. He has been doing that for more than a decade.

Um, we are all fans here. Plus, we're on a freaking message board, so I'd think people would have positve and negative comments to make.

Sorry, if it seems I'm picking on you. Yet, this team is playing as poorly (offensively in particular), at the biggest stretch of the season, as the early-2000 old as dirt Spurs. We just may not have what it takes this season. But, that doesn't rule-out next year or the year after.

All im saying is if this was a SUNS forum or a LAKERS forum or even a PISTONS forum, then yea bitch and complain all you want because these teams are NOT proven and have lost to these same Spurs in a playoff series.....

We Spurs fans have that confidence that no other fan in the NBA has and that is we are the Best until proven other wise....

Yeah, since Cleveland would really be willing to trade their 23-year old stud for a 32-year old who will only decline. Please, that never happen in 1,000 years. You were just kidding around with that one, right?

I've been told many-a times that the Spurs are more than a 37 year old big who only shows upo in big games, a 34 year old washed up SG and long-nosed Argentinean.

You know, the guys who know much more hoops than this humble poster . . .

I've also noticed Tim's footwork, normally a thing of beauty is practically non-existent. He's way too slow reacting and passing out of double teams and when he does decide to take it to the rack, he's putting up soft baby hooks and layups that are easy to block. His whole timing seems to be off from everything.

Again, I think a lot of Tim's offensive troubles can be pointed to the fact that teams are begining to figure out the easiest way to defend the Spurs. They're basically daring anyone outside of the Big 3 to shoot the ball and make guys like Vaughn, Finley, and Bowen beat them. Since their outside shots aren't falling, it clogs up the lane. Also, with no one outside of Parker and Ginobili able to create their own shot off the dribble, that also makes it hard. At least with Barry the Spurs had another capable ball handler and he was also the Spurs best 3 point shooter.

Side Note: Van Gundy was actually pretty funny commentating on today's game. He suggested the Spurs should go after Mutombo this offseason and bump up their average age to 36. :lol

While age is a significant consideration this year, do not forget that the offense was actually high-powered before the rash of injuries at the end of December.

No excuses! After that pathetic second half by the spurs, I don't know what to say except the spurs are playing with no urgency or heart. I'd go as far as to say they are playing without a coach right now! Pop shows no emotion, no nothing. Very discouraging to sit through a game like that!

He's done. His career is over. Cut him. He'd probably pass through waivers, pass through free agency, and end up in the D League.
