I'd suggest considering a sub sandwich of some sort.

Their steaks tend to be a little dry.

Whataburger's BBQ-Cheddar burger isn't bad if you add lettuce, tomato, and bacon to it...

I only eat Subway if the only other choice is McDonald's.

Diet drinks in general are bad for you.

In excess, as with any soft-drink.

Well, anything in excess possesses certain risks.

Cold sandwich -- club.

Hot -- steak and cheese or "prime rib" or whatever the hell they are calling it this week. Toast it and stick some cucumbers, onions, jalapeņos and chipotle sauce on it. :hungry

The subway by my job takes FOREVER too!!!In January I went to a Subway in Manhattan, just a few blocks away from the Empire State Building (I know, not very New York-y, but I was starved and it was close), and it was both the most crowded AND the fastest Subway I've ever been to. They had it down to a fucking science. I think I was at a table and eating within three minutes of walking in the front door, and that's with a line so long they needed Disneyland ropes.

BMT on Italian herbs & cheese, untoasted. Provolone. Dijon, mayo. Light lettuce, tomatoes, green pepper, red onion. A hell of a lot of black pepper. That's it, that's the list.

However, I was on a meatball binge for awhile that didn't end well. I've been on a two month long Subway boycott because of it. I got shitty meatballs and lumpy sauce three times in a row. Pissed me off good. That's it for Subway for a while.

1.honey oat bread with turkey and bacon, romaine, red onion, tomatoes, olives, light mayo and wine vinegarette.

2. Italian BMT, with marinara, toasted, spinach, red onion, banana peppers, tomatoes, olives, bell peppers, parmesan cheese and herbs.

The only thing worth getting at Subway is the sweet onion chicken teriyaki. Their BMT isn't bad. Their versions of the staples (ham, roast beef, etc) suck.

You're near the AAC and downtown, right? There's a Potbelly at McKinney and Olive. I'd go there if you need a sandwich. Remember, you don't have to eat the KFC bowl until the Mavs get eliminated.

Thundercloud and Delaware employ only stoners and smack addicts. At Subway and Quiznos, one has a 50% chance of getting someone clean to take the order and/or make the sammich.

well, one of my friends picks up shifts at the arboretum Thundercloud so I only go there when he's on - get a sammich with chips, drink, carrot cake for $3.50 =]

Today we had a luncheon for library staff appreciation and we had Quizno's catered.

It was the best damn luncheon we've ever had.

We had flat bread sammiches.
There were all kinds.

I'm still full from all the eating.

There are two Quiznos near my house. One recently got busted for stealing peoples' credit card numbers. I heard from a druggie, former co-worker that the other one busted employees for tampering with the mayo, if you now what I mean. Needless to say, I'm not going to Quizno's anytime soon.

Question. When the library staff has a luncheon...do you all have to whisper?
