He's been pretty solid (minus the 2nd half in LA) for the last few weeks and seems to be in game shape after that injury lull.
Watching him shred SAC last night was simply beautiful. His mid-range jumper, when on, is top 5 in the league.
Btw, I've heard people say that Manu does things in a more exciting way than Tony...umm...anyone who knows basketball should almost shit themselves whenever tony makes layups on the fast break. The amount of body control and english required to make the layups he makes is off the charts. Some of his layups (especially the double-clutchers going to his right) are just a work of art.
Anyways, now that I've gotten that off my chest here's the next thing:
Tony is back, Finley has been playing solid ball for almost a month now, and Oberto seems to be rounding into playoff form. I'm not going to worry about Tim because I know he'll play like shit in game 1 of the first round then slaughter whichever team we play for the rest of the series (as usual).
HOWEVER...Barry is a huge concern for me. The spacing he provides while he's on the court is huge and almost irreplaceable. He looked just plain awful last night and I'm not sure if he'll be able to get into game shape by the time the playoffs roll around.
With a healthy Brent I'm not worried. But an unhealthy Brent, streaky Udoka, and ineffective KT won't get it done in the POs. Those guys need to step it up big time or this team's in trouble. Hopefully they do.
BELIEVE...and bring on the playoffs! :hungry:
