Should the Spurs LOSE from Utah tomorrow at Home (as I think they will)...these are the rules:

b. More Than Two Teams Tied

(1) Better winning percentage in all games among the tied teams.

CANNOT be decided by this since Spurs > Houston, Houston > Suns, Suns > Spurs, so we look for the next category:

(2) Better winning percentage against teams in own division (only if all tied teams are in the same division).

So, in this case this rule doesn't apply at all since the Suns are NOT in the same Division as Spurs and Houston...we look the next rule

(3) Better winning percentage against teams in own conference.

Here you go - Spurs will be 32-20 if they lose, and Houston will have 33-19 if they beat LA Clips, Suns are 3rd here - 31-21 if they beat Portland today...

So, Houston should host the Spurs being 4th, Spurs will remain 5th, Suns 6th...because this is a 3-Way Tie rule, not 2-way...AM I CORRECT or not???

GO MANU!!! GO SPURS!!!

If I am correct, then Popovich SHOULDN'T PLAY MANU AND LOSE THE GAME TOMORROW SHOULD HOUSTON WINS IT TODAY...

Your interpretation of (1) is incorrect. The records compared are not round-robin head-to-head, but total records involving all 3 teams.

In which case, currently the records are:

SA: 3-5 (2-1 vs HOU, 1-3 vs PHX)
PHX: 5-3 (3-1 vs SA, 2-2 vs HOU)
HOU: 4-4 (2-2 vs PHX, 2-2 vs SA)

Therefore the tie is indeed broken and the order is PHX-HOU-SA

THANKS...that's pretty bad , then...we will be either 3rd if we beat UTAH, or 6th if we lose from Utah and the Suns and Portland win today...

IN THAT CASE POPOVICH MUST PLAY MANU TOMORROW!!! HE MUST PLAY HIM!!!
If he doesn't and we lose, then we will be 6th to play the Suns away...STUPID!!!
