I'm not sure why there is so much hand-wringing.

This isn't going to be that tough.

I mean, it is going to look much like most 1st round series over the past decade for the Spurs.

4 -6 games, and the outcome never really in doubt.

Seems like we finally found a team Kenny Smith hates more than the Spurs.

WTF are you talking about? The Jet has been a Spurs admirer for years and years. He was a Houston Rocket, so naturally he was not a fan whern he first starting doing his TNT gig, but anyone who has been watching TNT for the last 7 years would know that Kenny has been nothing short of complementary of all that is SA Spurs basketball, from TD to Manu to coach Pop, and to the whole Spurs organization.

You know Chuck is going to pick the Spurs.

It is such a breath of fresh air seeing the TNT broadcast where they at least respect the Spurs, instead of fucking ESPN's bullshit, or even NBA Tv's slanted playoff preview crap. I watched the western conference playoff preview show on NBA Tv, and when they got to the Spurs-Suns, all they talked about was the Suns. Though this didn't really surprise me, the blatant disrespect by the mass media for the defending NBA champs this season is staggering.

this all depends wether we win both games at home. This is the decider. We win both games at home and this will be a short series.

we lose one and it will go 6 or 7 games and it will be TOUGH AS SHIT

i actually think the only guy who defends the Spurs with great zealousy on ESPN has got to be Skip Bayless on First Take....he takes on all the people who call the Spurs boring and tells them to shut up and stick it where the sun dont shine.....he actually is the only analyst i see who picks the Spurs to come out of the West,,,,

+1 But we "should" still prevail.

Spur fans continue to underestimate the motivation and intangible outside forces the Suns will have on their side.

the suns definetley have the chip and the edge in this series....the Spurs have nothing to prove as much as the Suns....all the pressure is on the Suns FO and players to prove that last year was a "robbery".....:flag:

The Spurs have yet to prove they can keep the hunger to repeat. They have A LOT to prove. Like their dynasty is legit.

Not what I'm seeing; I'm seeing a bunch of Spur fans who have too much respect (even fear) for the Suns.

What has this version done, exactly besides slip from 1st to 6th in the standings with their new acquisition?

sigh, I sure as hell hope Kenny and Charles are right.

This is gonna be the toughest first round series in Spurs history.

You remember the Lakers in the '80's right?

Spurs history goes back more than 9 years.

This won't be as tough as Sacramento in '06.

The same can be said about some Spurs fans. :lol Completely underestimating the Suns.

Too bad it's not the Spurs fans that are out on the court. I highly doubt that the players themselves are over looking the Suns.

Ironically I hate him for his views on the 2005 Texas Longhorns.

Ditto on his views on Tony Romo, T.O. whom he refers to "Team Obliverator" and the whole Cowboy organization.. He has been anti-Cowboy ever since he was run out of town. Even the other panelist laugh at him if you've seen the show on some of his views.
