Heard on The Ticket(Dallas) that Nelson is having rotator cup surgery and Avery will be taking over for the next 20 or so games after tonight's game.
I listen to the sports updates...but not very well...I swear they mentioned Nellie may be out 2 weeks..I think...therefore AJ's tenure will be less than 20 games

Yeah I heard that too. Good luck, AJ.

I hope his son Donnie gets back on the sidelines at some point in the future; he's a hell of a coach.

heard this morning it was more like 4-5 weeks that Nelson will be out...whats up with that?...rotator cuff surgery is not some emergency kind of thing...it could have certainly waited till May after the Mavs get eliminated...is Nelly just distancing himself from this teams mediocre performance?

He probably tore it jumping up off the bench on a Bradley foul call.

Went to the Mavs-Clippers game last night, and it look like Del Harris is doing as much of the coaching as AJ.

By the way, I saw exactly one fan wearing Clippers gear in the place. I think he was related to Quinton Ross (he was wearing Ross' #13 white jersey), the rookie guard from SMU.

I've been to games there where numerous folks wear Hawks, Warriors, Raptors, Bucks, Grizzlies, even Hornets gear. But one fan? We turned "find the Clipper fan" into a game after a while.
