I didn't get to watch the game and there was a bad storm here in Uberlandia (Brazil) and the internet went in and out...and no satellite TV service...until now, after the damn game.

So since I and presumably others here didn't actually get to watch the game, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on where you put this game all time in terms of exciting playoff games. Or any Spurs game.

Thanks!

Without A Doubt, The Best Game 1 Ever

Probably one of the all time greats.

It featured Shaq vs. Duncan (two of the greatest to ever play their positions)
Last second heroics.
Stars diving for loose balls like their lives depended on it.
A come from behind victory that looked almost out of reach at so many points.
A duncan three to tie it up.

And SPURS WIN!

Just an amazing game.

Epic game...best game I've ever seen in my life.

Was just amazing seeing the Spurs fighting to the end, never giving up, and it paid off.

But the best was watching Tim Duncan, he is amazing. :toast

Not as good as the Memorial Day Miracle or Manu's 3 in Detroit, but definitely one of the top five Spurs playoff games in the last ten years.

Even though the Suns lost, this was still the best Game 1 of a first-round series I've ever seen. It was one of the best playoff games I've ever seen, period.

Right now as it's still very fresh, right below Horry's 3 & dunk in Detroit, Memorial Day Miracle, and Game 6 vs. Nets.

I am forever ashamed for telling my dad it was over just before Duncan hit the 3.

I will go off in exile :(

As a single game, it's up there with the MDM, Game 5 and 7 of the 2005 Finals, and Game 7 of the 2006 WCSF.

How it will rank historically depends on how the series turns out.

Has to be in the Top5 of Tim's games.

Certainly has to be considered as one of the Top10 Spurs' game in Tim's era.

and the rest of the NBA goes "ah, shit. The playoff Spurs are back!" :lol

If we win the series, it will be the best game I've witnessed.

It's somewhat similar to Game 1 against the Suns in 2003. Amare hits a bankshot 3 to send the game to OT and then Starbury hits an amazing off-balance 3 at the buzzer off an inbounds pass to beat the Spurs. Certainly different outcomes and a little more unusal 3-pointers but still an OT classic 1st round game.

Up until now it was Finals G7 in 2005. But this surpasses even that one. This game was beyond epic, classic etc.

Michael Jordan's Game 1 winner over the Jazz in the 1998 Finals was better than this.

It Was A Horrible Game The Refs Giftwraped This To The Spurs By Giving Bs Early Fouls To Amare And Shaq Enjoy Your Stern Giftwraped Series Win Bitches You Don't Deserve This Win Also You Guys Had The Ball Remote Controled Everytime So It Would Go In No Respect From Me Your Team Sucks And Always Will

As high as I jumped after Elliott hit his shot in the Memorial Day Miracle, I'd still have to say this one is the best game I've ever seen.

Sure it was a win. Sure, we won a game that we should have lost (if not for some huge onions by Duncan, lasting long enough to let Manu and Tony get into gear).

BUT, I think this win, no matter what happens during the rest of the playoffs, will be the best win of our playoff run because it did two things.

FIRST, it shut up critics who said that the Spurs had "lost it." MOST IMPORTANTLY, they proved to themselves that they were back.

Huge confidence booster. Best game I've ever seen in my 19 years of being a Spurs addict.

One of the best game 1s ever. Sets the tone for the rest of Game 1s to be played. Anyone that says the Spurs are boring can suck it.
