I don't know if this was mentioned, but Amare was going back to the Suns end of the court late in regulation. Someone on the Spurs team fell (can't remember who...Edit- it was Parker...) on the play before, and Amare imitated them on his way back to the other end. Reminded me of when he started doing pushups a few years back. Did anyone else see this? I knew the Spurs were going to win right then and there.:flag:

Maybe pinex needs to implement an IQ requirement.....

If they did that, they wouldn't have enough players left.

nash, grant hill and probably raja bell. marks too coz he looks nerdy.

barbossa and the often-mentioned, often-ridiculed amare are definite outs.

I just thought Amare was clumsy. It would have been hilarious if we got a FB bucket while he was on his backside.

you're right, he stepped on shaq'foot and fell down. We know he's stupid but he's not THAT stupid to make himself fell down on the court in the middle of a wild playoff game.

Amare's a fucking idiot. Why do you even mind him?

Amare is overrated and has the IQ of Forrest Gump, but more power to him since he's getting paid...I suppose.

He couldn't have been imitating Tony. His back was on Tony when Tony fell down, because he was going up for the shot. He probably just tripped. We don't need Amare having a third eye.

Hes mocking Tony for falling over like he did when Oberto backed into him.

I mean look, he bends forward before rolling back, and gets right up looking in TP's direction before calmly moving back to his defense

Thats not him falling over his own feet.

Is this a serious thread?

He wasn't making fun of Tony. He didn't even see Tony fall (unless his eyes are in the back of his head). Amare tripped.

He was practicing flopping...

Ok, watch it closely, hes looking at Tony(he may not have seen the whole fall, but he definitely saw the end with tony getting up), bends forward, flings his arms back for momentum, and then rolls onto his back in the same fashion as Tony, before calmly with no sense of urgency getting up. It'd be funny to ask him in an interview about this.

Amare does that all the time. The man's just working on his balance for his defensive posture.

I thought he tripped as well, and it's just a coincidence. That would be a weird thing to make fun of someone about.

^What he said. Someone was falling down almost every play. How ridiculous to think he was making fun of him.. people do fall you know. That was just a coincidence that he fell a second after Tony did.

If this was in the middle of a play i doubt anyone would be having fun.

I thought the bigger "mock" was D'Antoni's reaction to Timmy's 3.

For me, he's the most overrated coach in the league.

His cockiness and lack of ability to coach was summed up in that one expression.

He was obviously shrugging off a Duncan three, rather than not chastising his team's poor defense. First, the Suns had a foul to give and should have used it. Second, they should have fouled on-the-ball a second time to force free-throws.

Yet foremost, and the biggest problem I have with him is the fact that he didn't care that his team was collapsing on a player driving to the hoop when they're up three. Not only was Ginobili being guarded on that play, but Shaq went over to double-team him. In a situation like that, it's obvious that you NEVER double-team and NEVER leave a man open beyond the arc.

If they had fouled or just let Gino have a layup, the Spurs would have been forced to foul (down at least one) and would have had to deal with Nash shooting free-throws.

Instead? D'Antoni thought it was "funny" that Duncan hit a three.

The rest of the team's shenanigans (like Stoudemire possibly mocking Parker) is just crap that stems from a lack of decent leadership from the suit at the end of the bench.

yeah I agree with the D'antoni take there. But think how he must have felt. He thought he had every option on the floor covered, seconds away from a HUGE Phoenix game 1 victory over their arch-nemesis, and then Tim freakin Duncan, who NEVER shoots threes buries one on your ass to tie the game AGAIN! His mind and his heart probably imploded simulataneously and all he could probably do was laugh to keep from bursting into tears.

I liked D'Antonis reaction. It was more like "What the hell do we have to do to beat these guys?"
