View Full Version : Kurt Thomas Appreciation

A lot of us wondered how effective this pick up would be.

Throughout the season it looked as if Kurt Thomas would be decent.

He did okay on defence and he rebounded very well, and at times could score.

However, it appears as if he flipped the switch right for playoffs.

This dude was in all the right places (picking up charing fouls), playing great D (stripped Amare a couple of times and shuffling his feet), rebounding, and even adding in some points.

I don't know if he was out for revenge or what, but he sure did bring it against Phoenix.

If he continues to play like this, we are going to hard to beat down the stretch. I knew the guy was smart, but damn I love his toughness and heart.

What makes it even more sweet is the man we traded for him is back on the roster, and will probably come up big for us too some time in this series!

Let's go Bones.....and Go Spurs Go!

There were a few of us that pointed out that he was the most effective player for the Suns last year, and constantly wondered why D'Antoni didn't play him. I don't see any reason why he can't keep that up.

Do you ever post anything positive about the Spurs?

Do you ever post anything positive about the Spurs?

No, he doesn't. Not even when they win Titles.

Yeah, leaning on Shaq all afternoon and fouling out Amare doesn't merit any kudos. You're a complete twit, SD21.

A repeat is okay, but let's see if they 3peat before we start celebrating.

There is no doubt he is a playoff gamer. Best pickup in a long damn time.

Dude was great! Loved his intensity and D.

Total irony here though. Last year with the Suns he was the most effective player against TD. So what does the Suns MGT do? Trade him to Seatle to save $$$ - 8M or so.
Then we get him from Seattle for next to nothing while dumping Elson and definetly improving our interior D - way better than Elson.

Sweet! ;)

Kurt Thomas was a MAJOR reason we won that game

he got the Suns in foul trouble, and needs to keep doing that

Props, indeed.

Kurt Thomas looked comfortable out there. Although it was just one game, I liked what he did against the Suns.

Kurt's playing like a vet hungry for a ring and knowing that his opportunities are now far and few. Great job, Kurt!
