Only difference that I know of is the Xbox will get new download content that the PS3 will not get but both disc games will be the same for both.

According to all the shit I've read on it, this is supposed to be the first "True" next-gen game that really maximizes the PS3's potential, and is incredibly detailed in every facet. If they can make it feel like a living breathing world (and from the screenshots I've seen and reviews I've read, they have) this game could redefine video games as we know them, much like GTA3 did when it was first released.

I believe the camara can be moved with the right joystick when driving. I haven't really gotten deep in the game because I had to work in the morning and couldn't stay up to late playing but if I remember correctly I think that's how I did it.

I only played for an hour or so, but the biggest difference in the early changes is the fighting. You can now block, counter, do a power move and even disarm people and take their weapons.

I'll be honest in that I wasn't blown away immediately, if only because it felt like all the older GTA's but with better graphics......however, once I got introduced to the fighting alone, I could tell that this is a game that will slowly reveal itself over time.

The depth on this edition of GTA looks incredible.

You can change the cameras views with the "B" button on the 360 (or maybe it was the select button?) either way, it's there. They also brought back the cinematic view.

When you chase cars, you can also lock on to them while driving, though I found that feature messed me up sometimes as it focuses so much on your target that you get blind sided by poles and sides of buildings and what not.

This game is really growing on me as I get into it. The first 10% or so is boring as fuck, but it gets way better once you start unlocking islands. The shows and activities are a nice addition, and the myspace is pretty funny.

but lately it seems like everytime I run over someone, they're not actually ran over and are standing back up and shooting at me.

Plus the fact I can't melee for shit when theres no auto aim allowed. I love sticking people with the knife.

Oh yeah, and me dying in like two shots sometimes when someone can take like 2 full clips to drop even at point blank range with no ba.

Driving takes time to get use to. Also when you get on the other islands the cars are nicer and drive better.

I like games that are repetitive anyway: Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Call of Duty, Halo, Mass Effect.

I just beat the game not 100% but the main game, It took me 30:09:54 with a 65.42% game progress.

It was fun most of the time, but allot of the missions feel the same as all other GTA games just in a new city and it got kind of tiring towards then end. I just wanted it to be over.

This game just doesn't have the great characters and voice acting that Vice City and San Andreas had. The soundtrack is far weaker than either of those, also. It gets repetitive way faster than Vice City or San Andreas did, and the city is nowhere near as interesting as Vice City or Los Santos/San Fierro/Las Venturas. This is the most overhyped game I have ever seen.

Just finished last night (at about 31.5 hours) and I couldn't disagree more.

There are things I don't like- the limits on Ammo and the partial lack of free-aim for example, but I don't know how you can bitch about the city, characters and voice acting. This game wasn't only better, it blew the others out of the water. Besides, many of the same actors have the done voices in all of the games.

All in all, if you've played GTA before, it doesn't feel as fresh as it once did. I completed the main story, checked out the % completed, and IIRC it said I completed less than 60% (could be 50%) of the game. Is all the other shit stunts and things like that? I won't lie, I restarted the game to see if I had missed something, but all I end up doing is stealing someone's car, getting a little greedy and stealing 6-8 more people's car, blowing them up, run from/kill the cops, end up dying, and turning the game off... I guess that's worth the $60 alone, though :smokin

That was the first GTA that didn't have any replay value whatsoever (not counting the PSP garbage). I played 3, Vice City, and San Andreas for years after they came out, but finishing 4 seemed like a chore where I kept hoping if I went farther it would eventually get as good as the previous three.

San Andreas' soundtrack was pimp as fuck. The classic rock station played GREAT songs and when you got bored of that, the east coast and west coast hip hop it had was chill as well. Even the country stations were catchy and the news/talk radio stations were hilarious.

Vice city was the only game I ever played enough that I wondered how it would translate to real life. I'd be driving down the road and see a tow truck and just think, "I wonder if I hit that ramp just right how much distance I'd get"?
