There is a rumor out of Detroit that they are interested in Brent Barry and as of today, Darko Milicic has expressed his concerns about his playing time and would welcome a trade.

You don't suppose that Spur's will try to work something out do you? I mean SA needs a consistent big man for their future and nothing gets better than Darko right now.

if brown thinks darko sucks and isn't ready, then pop surely know's the scoop as well.
why help what could be our main obstacle to getting the rings in june?
can't afford to trade shooters at this point.

If Larry Brown doesn't think Darko's ready to play yet, do you really think Pop would go get him? I'm not sure the Spurs would risk giving up the one FA shooter they signed, seeing how that was the major need going into the season.

I know that Darko isn't happy, but where did you hear they were interested in Barry?

I don't think Pop would take a guy that doesn't even play in exchange for Barry, a guy that Pop thinks is vital in the Spurs' title pursuit.

Oops, I see Zak just posted basically the same opinion ^ Agreed, Zak.

pistons have more bigs then most teams

darko could start or play on most teams
also they wanted him to play center not forward if I recall correctly
and he had to learn that postion

brown does not like to play rookies

Darkwing Darko isnt worth a damn thing, he would be useless to us this year anyway and remember next year is the year of SCOLA! So why the heck would we give up ol Bone's for Milicic? Detroit rumors are coming up (if this is even true) because of fear of S.A. taking the title back from them! Larry Brown and Pop are homies man, get real. Here's what the conversation was between them.. After a few beers of course... LB : Hey Pop, I'll trade you Darko for Bones. GP: Hell naw.. that scrub? That was your bad for drafting the kid so high Larry! I know he isnt worth jack shi..!

...

Pop and LB are not the same person or coach, although they are friends. Did coaching under Nellie turn Pop into a run and gun, no D type of coach?

Didn't LB also bury LeBron during the Olympics? My main two beefs with LB as a coach have always been that a) he whines way too much in the press, and b) even though he's a good teacher to young players, he often either buries them or alienates them.

Kwame Brown was also given WAY more of a chance than this kid. Darko has been given a grand total of 269 minutes in a season and a half, a figure that Brown eclipsed by a factor of 3+ in his first season.

Just another thought....Darko for Rasho? would you do it? Even with Rashos play as of late?

Yes, trade Darko for Rasho..even Darko could average 5 points and 8 rebounds in the spurs if he was starting.

Um, the Spurs playoff hopes are still going to come down to someone hitting some outside shots when teams pack the lane on Duncan and Parker.

Which gives us a better chance to open up the interior? A big man whose a borderline bust, or Brent Barry? 'Nuff said.

I have to say that I have no friggin idea what Darko can do, and I doubt anybody else does at this point.

Basically, any evaluation of Darko is bieng held hostage to Larry Brown's belief that he can't play now.

^^^^^Rack that, and pay heed all of you "Darko is a bust!" crowd. How can he be a bust when he has played basicly the equivalent of six complete 48 minute games in his 1.5 year career? No one really knows what he is yet. Is he even 20 years old?

I can see a big future on Darko, but giving up Brent Barry? NO! Esp now that Manu is not 100% healthy.
