Phoenix is a pretty good "coming from behind team" Remember they were down 1-3 against the Lakers 3 years ago and endedup winning that series.

The Spurs on the other hand are pretty good at blowing series leads, remember 2004 against the Lakers? remember 2006 against the Kings?

Let me rephrase it bitches:

The Suns will win this series!

Suns in 6

You also forgot to mention how when the Suns were down 0-2 in the Nash and came back to.......nevermind

So what is it really, a sweep, Suns in 6 or Suns in 7? Make up your mind.

Your credibility already took a hard hit for that sweep prediction.

This series is far from over? Why should it be? Last year's series still isn't over. Not for the army of Suns fans who keep re-playing it in their minds with a different ending. "The Horry hip-check and those suspensions were bullshit, and they changed the whole outcome of the series. The Suns are really the champs, but the league took it away from them."

This year the Suns took out a second mortgage and brought in Shaq, so they would have "the best Suns team ever". And there is no way a team like that could possibly lose to the Spurs. Again. This is finally their year... they're sure of it. And that's going to make this season even more difficult to swallow than the last one.

No, this series will never be over. At least not for Suns fans.

I fail to see how anything you mentioned has to anything to do with "blowing series leads."

The only lead in recent memory the Spurs blew was in 2004 to the Lakers. How the fuck did we blow a lead to the Kings when they lost in 6? Fucking troll.

Not over but suns are in trouble thay do not only need a win but they need a blowout .to change the momentum or a choke job like the suns in game 1 ...(I know some will say the spurs won more than the suns choked but when you fail to protect 3 point leads TWICE in crunch time ...that is a choke!!!) unless the Spurs resort to their end of season crappy play ...that aint happening ...

One last point that Suns fans may have to learn like the Laker fans, Magic and heat learned before this ...Shaq usually wins or gets swept there usually is no middle ground ... shaq has been swept out of the playoffs in '07, 99, 98, 96 and 94 in 97 he managed to win ONE game ...before losing to the Jazz

The Spurs won that series against the Kings...and they also blew a 2-0 series lead in 2003 against the Lakers and still eliminated them in a humiliating blowout in Game 6. Its all about winning the series, and the Spurs have won more serieses than any other NBA team the past decade or so.

You are not very smart and lack any sort of attention span. I feel pity for you.

The difference between the Suns and the Spurs?

1. Spurs learn from their mistakes. Their players aren't full of themselves, and they get better every game of every series. There won't be a meltdown, like the year the Lakers came back from 0-2. The Suns don't seem to learn anything at all (result: no visible improvement in performance).

2. The Spurs are pretty much the same team during the past five years and three championships. So we're talking about mentally tough, smart, battle tested and experienced veterans with skills that even surpass the "better-team" Suns (re the extreme fast-break deficit the first two games -- the Spurs are outrunning the Suns!).

3. d'Antoni is a terrific coach -- a lot of their plays approach genius -- but he's weak as an in-game adjuster (re his curious inaction during game 2's third quarter meltdown). Popovich is a "pound-the-rock" sort of coach, doing things by percentages (like the fact that he depends upon defense to usually prevail in playoff series), but absolutely brilliant when it comes to adjusting to opponents' games.

Talent wise, the Suns and Spurs may be on even keel; but then again, that goes for half the NBA. But face it: this year the Suns are being out-smarted and out-disciplined by a team with much more cohesion, focus and experience playing as a team.

If NBA championships were won on individual talent alone, teams like the Nuggets would be overwhelming favorite. But last I checked, basketball is a team game, and the Suns just don't have enough of that to go far this year.

Ill agree this series is far from over and game 3 will be a war. Game 3 is the one that the Suns HAVE to win. That said, the Spurs NEED to win that game to totally demoralize the Suns. I predict the best game in the series is coming up. PHX is a good team and they will have the crowd. Thats ok though, our Spurs are tough and I know we can win the next game.

Ummm, actually, the Spurs won that series.

Let's not forget that in 1999, 2003, 2005, and 2007, the Spurs WON THE FREAKING CHAMPIONSHIP!!! How many trophies do the Suns have? How many? It's ok, I'll wait...how many?

Plenty of games left to play, wouldn't be totally surprising for us to lose games 3 and 4. I don't necessarily think we'll win game 3, even though it would be great if we did cuz that would basically end the series, but we need at least one in Phoenix.

Phoenix is pretty fucking good at losing leads. Remember the 16 and 14 pt leads you couldn't hold on to in 2008 ? Remember how you gave the Spurs confidence that it doesn't matter what the score is, just keep playing and the bitches will lay down.

You and your team suck. Go play in the Hornets forums and let them know how the Suns are going to sweep them too....after they finish off the Spurs.

The point made is the only one I'm likely to ever agree with PrincessPimp (or whatever that dude's name is this week) -- this series is far from over. The Spurs have played well enough to win 2 games, but there is room for the Suns to get back into this and put some pressure on the Spurs. The weekend is about playing well, if you're the Spurs -- don't go in thinking you just need 1 of 2; go in thinking about playing well enough to win both games and give yourself a chance to get at least 1 of 2 and put a stranglehold on this series.

I think there is something to be said for the Spurs' experiences in dealing with this situation in the past, but those experiences haven't always been successful.

It's time: don't allow this to become a best 2-of-3.
