You've whooped the Suns again, just like scooby doo and those meddling kids!!
The Suns may get one at home, but this series is all but over.... again. The sooner the better so Kerr can finally blow up this team. Oh wait, who would want Diaw's contract?? Or Shaq's?? :lmao:lmao
Never in Suns history has there been a coach more second guessed than D'Ant. The guy will never catch a break here.
Here's hoping NO can kick you to the curb :bang
And now I can turn my attention to a real title contender..

History speaks for itself. Suns have always played catch-up w/ the Spurs and have yet to control home court against the Spurs.
It's just the way it is. The Sun rises and the Spurs own the Suns. It's really very simple. I think the vast majority of Phx has given up on the Suns after last night.

It takes a big man to be honest about his team. Thanks for being that honest man Bill. Good luck with the Diamondbacks!!

Suns in 9, book it.

It could be worse. At least the Suns tried. You can't say that about the Mavs. Spurs and their fans get the last laugh.

"Phx has given up"
Very realistic.
Now rollover in PHX so we can sweep and get some rest.
Go Mavs! stretch it out!

I do believe the Suns are equal to the Spurs in just about every area on the court except when to close the Spurs out in games. They just can't do it. The Suns can close any other team out in the NBA except the Spurs.
The collective mental capacity of the Suns goes from Einstein to Dumb and Dumber against the Spurs. I've never seen a team have another teams # like the Spurs do with the Suns during this run.

I have a feeling the Suns themselves have more pride than that.

Right now with my team in the shitter, the only consolation prize for me is seeing the Suns getting ousted in the first round as well. I also am hoping that Fuehrer Stern's wish of a Lakers/Celtics Finals are completely ruined. I'll vomit if I see either of those teams win a title.
So basically, once the Mavs are swept by New Orleans, I'll be rooting for the Spurs to win it all. It's the least painful option available. I hate my life.

The first two games have been way too close for my comfort. I'm hoping we can win Game 4, then I'll start getting a little confident.

Hey now, I have the Spurs in 5 and the Hornets in 7, so don't worry. The Suns and the Mavs will win during this postseason--it's not over yet.

:lol It's not over. Spurs have a habit of coming back 2-2 after a 2-0 advantage. After that it could be anyone's game. Mavs managed to come back against the Spurs on the road in a Game 7 to finally get over the block, Suns still have a chance.
That being said, D'Antoni is getting a LOT of unneccesary criticism from media and fans. He's actually done a great job coaching them this season I think. Pop is too experienced and is coaching the best I think he's ever done in this series so that makes it seem worse than it is for D'Antoni. He can't help who he puts out there. Until Amare learns defense, Suns are always going to be vunerable.
I'll be very surprised if the Suns don't win game 3.

The Spurs held serve. I guess the thing that really got to Suns fans is how they lost. In both games, the SUns went up huge early in the game, the Suns also seemed to have defeated the Spurs in Game 1 when they were up 5 in the 1OT, but the Spurs found a way in game one, and absolutely dominated the Suns in a long stretch in game 2.
However, the series is not over, the Spurs won 2 home games, which they have to. 2005 vs. Detroit, the Spurs absolutely annihilated the Pistons in Games 1 and 2, the series went 7.

I'm not laughing. It's a long road, the Spurs are at the beginning.
I was glad to see them turn it up last night, at half-time it wasn't a sure bet.

OP, you are giving up too early. Who knows what the Suns will do in games 3 and 4?
Sure, the signs aren't good, but you can't give up just because the Spurs did what they HAD to do (and found it tough, I might add). Spurs lose one of those games and the pressure is entirely reversed.

this series is not over people! i think spurs win, but the least will be in 5 games, I see 6 or 7. Suns are goin home to that raucous crowd, so they'll be fired up and doin well. We won at home, which is what we're supposed to do. Now if we win game 3, THEN the series is most likely over. But while I think the spurs will win, I highly doubt we'll win game 3. Even game 4 will be reallllly difficult to win. Too many series in the past showed that we can give up 2-0 leads and look terrible doing it.

The room smells of futility.
However, I wouldn't give up on your team just yet. Dallas was up on Miami 2-love, remember?

Up 13 with 4 minutes or so left in Game 2 had to be about the most uncomfortable I've ever felt about a double digit lead late in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.
This sucker is a long way from over.

I think everyone, Spurs fans, Suns fans, Lakers fans, whoever, just needs to relax. The Spurs won on their homecourt. I am very impressed and proud of the Spurs, I really thought before the series started that the Suns would win either one or both of the first two games. Thank God I was wrong.
However, Phoenix is coming home and they haven't given up yet. Apparently the Spurs still aren't better and the Suns just let two get away from them (based off of what I've read-quotes, articles, etc.). Phoenix has a good chance to win both home games. Hopefully the Spurs don't get too comfortable and fight like hell to win either one or both of the games.

The Suns are good enough to make every game interesting, but undisciplined where they'll never win those games consistently enough to take a series vs. smarter teams.
That's the truth of it.
Opposing fans will sweat every game, but then look back and wonder why they worried so much after their teams wins 4-2 at worse, or 4-1 at best.
The "one shot here or there" or "one stop here or there" eventually only matters when the team on the short does what it takes to get that one shot/stop.
