So far, up to now ... Tim Duncan >= Manu > Tony

why is damon in there?

'Cause I wanted to make a poll with more than only two options.

Tim Duncan.

Manu has been the Spurs main go to guy all season, but where would this team be without Timmy?

Don't get me wrong, you can make the same argument for Manu Ginobili also, but the voters won't vote for a player who comes off the bench.

The question is which player will get more MVP votes, not who do you think the team's MVP.

The answer is clearly Manu because he is perceived to have done more for the Spurs this season by the national media despite Duncan always being the most important part of the team.

Damon hit some three in that one game (dont remember which). I think it sealed the deal for him.

From what i read of the national media, I think that what you're saying could be true.

I was a little surprised to hear Manu say something about at least he won the 6MOY award because he'll never win the MVP award near the end. Usually Manu doesn't really say things about it.

I'm not sure Duncan will get any votes. Manu may get a couple. But really, isn't this just a race between CP3, Kobe, LeBron, and Garnett. Of course since KG has already been given DPOY, I figure that keeps him from getting MVP.

Just being realistic. It's tough enough for any Spur to get it. Duncan had outstanding seasons for his.

But face it, when you are up against guys in the big markets, 99 percent chance one of them will get it.

More than anything, Manu should be pissed about being left off the All Star roster.

Since the MVP is based on the regular season it would have to be Manu.

DAF just made this stupid poll so he can vote for Manu...

I love Manu, but quit it, he gets enough love in here already, no need to make up stupid shit just to praise him even more.

Man, chill. I put Damon there as an obvious joke. I love Tony but let's get real, he isn't getting any MVP votes this year. This is a poll between Tim and Manu, i just put MM in there for humoristic purposes, but I guess i failed :depressed

Everybody makes stupid polls why can't I? besides I don't think is so stupid. There are lots of articles in the national media arguing who's the spurs MVP this season, so i thought this could be a very interesting poll. And I didn't make this so I could vote for Manu I just did this to see what other Spurs fans think.

gotta be damon...he made like 5 free throws in a row during practice today

EDIT: Reread topic... I guess you meant regular season. lol. My bad.

I gotta say Timmy. Although Manu was definitely a contender for the title last year, in these past two games Timmy has really shown us just what he's got. I think Timmy wants the championship more than anyone, he definitely wanted Game 1 more than anyone.

If he continues to play how he has, I think he'll get it easily.

We are talking finals mvp... right? :downspin:

No, regular season MVP.
I know that neither is going to get it. But they'll (probably) get some votes, so my question is who'll get more.

Yeah thanks lol. I figured that out after I posted. >.<

If anyone on the Spurs is going to steal votes from Kobe, it'll be Duncan says this fan.

what's the big deal??

it's one of those two days in between playoff games. Lot of dumb polls come up anyway.

And frankly, I think they'll both get zero votes. The team is too well-balanced.
