View Full Version : Tony Parker in Holywood?

According to People.com (http://www.people.com/people/gallery/0,,20194749_9,00.html), TP was in Hollywood with Eva yesterday. Am I reading that correctly? Am I out of line to think that maybe Hollywood isn't the right place to be this week? Or is that pretty much par for NBA players?

His day off...he can do whatever he wants as long as his is not taking a chance to injure himself. It is a short flight from LA to Phoenix where he would meet back up with his team.

I see no problem here.

Going to Hollywood instead of staying with the team shows how selfish a player Parker is.

Yeah, that's kind of out of line. I think TP has the trust of his team and organization that he's not going to do anything stupid. He's spending time with his wife, which may be very important to him. Family and stability seem to be very important elements to the Spurs organization.

And Hollywood is just another town where people live. it's not crazyville.

Why anyone would go out of their way to find something wrong with Tony spending his free time with his insanely hot wife is beyond me...

Unless of course, it was for personal reasons, and then it all starts to make sense.

I have no problem with it as long as the guy stays focused, which he looks more than ever.

I think being more in the public eye has actually helped Parker basketball wise. He's got an image that he has to back up with his game more than ever because of the pressure that goes with it (publicity).

Now that Desperate Housewives is back on, Eva is in LA quite a bit. So it's only natural that they would want to spend some time together. And if being with his wife helps Tony relax and get focused for the next game - then so be it!!

The flight from L.A. to Phoenix is about 50 minutes. So, it's not like he's jetsetting - he's just having lunch with his wife. After getting beat up for the last two games, he deserves some personal time.

:lol Hollywood is pretty ghetto to raise a family. But it "ain't no thang" that Tony went to lunch with his wife.

Depends on what part of hollywood. There' some ghetto parts, but plenty of nice areas too. Regardless, I'm sure TP rested up fine and will be ready to abuse Nash. That's really all i care about.

Tony didn't practice. Spurs (including Tony) flew to Phoenix today.

There's not really that many nice areas IN Hollywood. Hollywood Hills maybe ... but Hollywood itself is not anywhere I'd consider raising kids. Hollywood High is horrible.

Anyway, you are right, TP just needs to keep attacking.

His day off, he can do what he wants.

Glad he did though, the normal day to day routine stuff like that charges up the batteries of people that usually don't do that stuff :lol

I heard he wouldn't have practiced anyway because they wanted him to rest from getting banged up. So, it's really a non-story. I'm sure Eva took care of him :)

Yeah dudes went from getting his head knocked around by Stoudemire to getting bashed in the chest by Shaq.

Let him have his damn lunchbreak with his hot wife, he'll player better. You could put something like this in a movie about basketball and if the protagonist didn't visit his hot wife to get some "encouragement" they'd always play like shit, unless the hot wife showed up in the stands or at half time after he got injured...

Anyway, no harm no foul.

Yeah.

Cue aggie though asking why the team didn't practice today.

See, what we need to do is call and email local and national sports writers and analysts with concerns about this so that Parker and his teammates will be bombarded with questions about it before this weekend's games against Phoenix.

This is IMPORTANT STUFF!! Ask Cowboys fans.

:lol I know you were dying for a controversy. If Tony flew to France on his day off, then you might have had a bigger story. Tell him to step up his game.
