First in a three part series.
First we need nominees for the contest.
You may nominate yourself for the biggest nerd on Spurstalk title, or you might know of an ubernerd that deserves to be put into running.
After a certain period of time, I will post a nerd-off thread, and nominees will be informed of this thread via private message. Nerds will then have a certain period of time to demonstrate their nerdness for all to see.
After that has closed out, I will post a poll thread and ask all to vote in a totally non-scientific poll regarding the obvious 10 leaders.

To kick off, I will nominate myself, although I only give myself an outside chance, little better than the Suns winning four in a row against the Spurs...

You wanna talk nerd? The WSJ had a story today about some guy who found an unreleased Atari 2600 video game at some rummage sale:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120904927880141761.html
And here's part of what he said on his blog (http://blog.gism.net/2008/04/20/most-legendary-haul-at-the-flea-market/):
When I got home, I noticed that a bunch of the chips said “CPKPark Atari” Some said “CPKPARK 2600 Atari.” OK, now I was getting a boner.
Nobody but a nerd would get a boner over some old EEPROMs containing a video game, let alone post about it on a blog. Further confirming his evident desire to be declared King of All Nerds, a followup (http://blog.gism.net/2008/04/26/roms-dumped-and-confirmed/) says
Well, they’ve been dumped. And just about everything here is what I thought it was. The boner is still raging.
Talk about a dude that needs a life, a woman, ...

You should never make assumptions. I have it on very good authority that Random Guy's wife is fabulous in the sack.

I've never known a gay nerd. I do have a lesbian friend with Turrett's syndrome. :lol

So, yeah, to further bolster my nerd credentials (not that I, really need to at this point), last night I was out until 1 AM playing Spider-Man: Friend or Foe and working on Iron Man T-shirts with a friend. :lol Oh, wow, Thursday is gonna rock.
