Anyone ever doen something like this before? A friend and i are thinking of doing this next spring out of Tortolla. Would be he and his wife, and me and mine. His buddy flies for Jet Blue and can get us all the way to Puerto Rico for Airport Taxes only.

check out www.bareboatsbvi.com. Can charter a 38' Catamaran for 7 days for under 4k. Just you, the yacht, and the open ocean. Not bad i think, i honestly thought this shit would cost sooo much more than that.

My buddy has been sailing his whole life, so that is not an issue. Im curious if anyone has ever done something similar.

Im stoked about it, i love boating, i love the water, this just sounds like a dream come true...Island hopping on your own pace, on a 38' yacht...if i would have known a trip like this would be this affordable, id have done it a long time ago.

Sounds great, but I'm saving my money for $500/night rooms in Hong Kong.

for 500 a night you can charter a sailboat and sail all of china!
