Well Chuck thinks the two best teams in the West right now are the Fakers and Jazz, so I wasn't surprised he picked against us and went with the darling Hornets!

Chuck seems pretty reluctant to give props to the Spurs, I think he doesn't want to eat crow since he said some things about the Spurs during the regular season, like they are too old and that time has caught up to them blah blah blah.

chuck (before 2007 finals): I think cleveland will have an answer for the spurs, so i think the cavs will win
after the 2007 finals: the cleveland cavs didn't have any business being in the nba finals

i'm ok with chuck choosing the other team

Spurs just need to stop the lobs from Paul to Chandler because the crowd will go wild and those are big momentum changers.

Every preseason he says "Ya kndow (that's the appropriate pronunciation) I dever sleep on da Spurs, ya dow dey my pick every yeahhhh..." yet stupid motherfucker sticks his footsies in his big ass mouth until the Finals if we face a team like the Cavs.

FYI. If (God willing) we face the Celtics in the Finals guess who he'll pick. I'll give you two guesses. Fuck some chuck...

They also need to continually attack CP3's "defense" by sending a heavy dose of Parker at him.

Chuck used to be pretty smart about basketball.

He seems to have lost that.

He needs to reconsider:

This is the team that has won 4 championships in the last 9 years.

This is the team with the defending champs.

This is the team with the best defense in the league.

This is the team with Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker.

Parker and Bowen will greatly slow down Chris Paul.

NO isn't a deep team.

I can't see any way that they will win.

Quite honestly, it will be tough for them to win a game.

Suns were tougher to beat than NO.

In a 7 game series?

against us?

Going to be a tough series. CP3 and West have been playing great. We have the experience and they have the HCA. Go in a get a split and se how they react.

We will need more bench production in this series than we got in the last one. Finley was nonexistent tonight and that won't cut it against NO.

Spurs in 6

Hornets in six...mainly cause Spurs are horrible on the road and it's not going to be easy from here on out.

Horrible on the road? BS. The Spurs have drawn blood in EVERY PLAYOFF series in the past 5 years. NO was just trying to spit the bit against a screwed up Mavs squad.

We'll see.

With the way the Hornets are playing right now, if I was an impartial observer I would've picked them as well.

I can see the Spurs going down to the Hornets very easily. Their style of play with the quickness they possess is a recipe for disaster for the Spurs.

he is sticking to his word in regular season he said Spurs are declining and old.

craziest thing is if we win this series we have to beat them in NO. that is gonna be crazy and we gonna crush the hearts of the little katrina victims. but I think Spurs are evil enough to do it.

Chuck is the worst so called anaylist in the world. He admits he hardly even watches the games. I get the sense he just watches the games he is forced to when he is on set and even then he is off set goofing off. It is amazing all the perks you get in life thanks to your name alone.

He is entertaining but he knows nothing when it comes to anaylizing a game. What insights does he ever bring to a game?? He is only there because of who he is and he is comic relief.

Kenny picked the Spurs. Charles likes picking the up and comers so he will look good if they overachieve. In 2003 he picked the Nets in the Finals.

Since when was it easy??? The Spurs-Suns series was the toughest matchup in the entire playoffs.

Spurs are WHAT on the road????

Did they not kick the Suns ass in game 3???

Have they not won a million playoff games on the road over the years??

Horrible on the road my ass.

The same guy who picked the Jazz to beat the Spurs in the Conference Finals. Every ESPN panelist picked the Suns over the Spurs in six, too. Everyone's got opinions and a-holes. As for my two cents, I pick the Spurs to win the series and not in seven games.

This is the playoffs. Defense wins championships and things slow down. You, of all people, as a Suns fan should know that to the tune of four series losses to the Spurs dating back to 2003. I think the Suns would've beaten the Hornets, even.

Well, this series will depend on how healthy Manu Ginobili is.

The Spurs X-Factor in the Suns series was Parker as they had no one who could guard him, especially off pick and rolls. Against the Hornets, the Spurs X-Factor is Ginobili, I don't think they have anyone who can guard him. West/Bonzi aren't exactly lock down defenders ala Raja Bell.

Well, this series will depend on how healthy Manu Ginobili is.

Exactly, which is one of the biggest reasons the Spurs needed to close out the series last night. With the rest they earned, I see the Spurs as strong favorites. If the Suns series had gone to 6 or 7 games, I think the Spurs would be going into the Hornets series tired, sort of like when they played the Mavs in 06.

Bullshit. Last night at the half, he nailed it on Amare. Diaw getting the ball so much was interrupting the flow between Nash and Amare and seriously messing up Nash. He then said the crucial point, which was dead on, Amare was getting bored without the ball in his hands, and it would cost them. Dead on accurate.

He clowns around so much and makes outrageous statements so frequently that his insights get glossed over. But make no mistake, he frequently knows what he's talking about.

:lol Actually if you go back and watch, he was just piggybacking off of the two main points made by Doug Collins during the game. That wasn't Barkley's thoughts.
