Actually is a good movie. For those of you who are going to see it sit through the credits, big payoff for comic book nerds.

I haven't seen the movie but wow it seems that everyone really likes it. I was going to pass on it since Downey doesnt' really seem like the superhero type but I think I will see it now. The IMDB gives it 8.4/10 stars.

I've got plans to see this one in a couple of hours and, I must admit, I'm rather dorkishly looking forward to it.

I don't get the Downey aversion, though. I'd pretty much sworn off all non-Batman comic book movies until I'd heard that he was signed on to do this one. The casting just made perfect sense to me from the moment it was first announced.

They have a nice preview to Dark Knight before the movie. it looks excellent.
what I didn't really understand was Edward Norton as the Incredible Hulk though. seems like a weird choice to me

Just got back from seeing it. It kicks ass. I don't if I'd go as far as saying it's better than Batman Begins, but its close. ITA with those praising Downey. I was kind of thrilled when I heard he was doing this because, while he's no action hero, part of the appeal of the character is that he's not the hero type, right?

It set up for a sequel really well, and did a good job of being simultaneously accessible to anyone new to the material as well throwing in some winks and nods to people who know it (Rhodey looking longingly at the grey armor, "The Ten Rings"). And the Wile E. Coyote moments as he's working out the design kinks are just begging to become gifs.

Actually Edward Norton is an excellent choice for the Hulk. Norton comes off as an average person, who would seem to be bossed around and an introvert, which IMO fits Banner's persona well.

I enjoyed this immensely.

Didn't get a Dark Knight preview, though, which was a bit of a bummer. Instead got previews for Norton's Hulk, the new Indiana Jones, and Shyamalan's latest suckfest. The Happening actually looks kind of interesting, and I like Wahlberg, Deschenal, and Leguizamo, but... everything that he's done since Unbreakable (yeah, I'm one of the five people who liked that one) has been sooooo frustrating that I just don't know if I'm willing to give him another chance.

Great fucking movie.

Downey was great and Bridges completely kicked ass.

I didn't get the TDK trailer, but the Indiana Jones trailer kicked some ass.

The Hulk movie looks like it's going to suck ass, though.

I highly recomend Iron Man.

All comic book geeks MUST watch this movie.

Why were the terrorists speaking Hindi at times, and a different language at others?

It was explained in the movie.

The terrorists were recruited from many countries and didn't all speak the same language.

Pay attention next time.

I caught the movie just now online and it was pretty good actually. I liked how they played it MORE on the Tony Stark rather than the whole "Iron Man" thing. That is what made it a really good movie.

Best part was when the two jets were chasing after him and he phones his buddy on the phone. "what's that noise? oh I have the top down." classic. I hope they do another.

The movie was great. I loved all the humor!

TDK trailer was awesome! I can't wait for that one, and the Indy Jones movie. M. Night Shymalan's new one looks promising, but he's had some major fails lately, so I won't be going to that one on opening day, for sure.

The casting of Robert Downey to play Tony Stark was genius...he's the perfect guy to play him. I'm glad Downey was willing to do it. Downey may not seem like a superhero type...but he's exactly like Tony Stark in real life.

Tony Stark is a somewhat brilliant inventor, an asshole and an ex alcholic and Robert Downey is a somewhat brilliant actor, an asshole and an ex drug addict. Best actor character match for a Superhero movie ever...seriously.

Honestly...it's almost like Downey modeled his acting career after Tony Stark long before he ever knew he'd play him. I don't have doubt Downey is a fan of the Iron Man character...there's no way he could have nailed the character and so perfectly captured the essence of Tony Stark's douchebaggery if he wasn't.

I enjoyed it...didn't see the surprise ending though.

Loved the movie, wife loved it too...even though she thought she would hate it. Not typical comic book movie....more of a good story with some action, but not too much to bore the women fans.

Robt Downey Jr as Stark was a brilliant casting job. I told my wife during the movie that he was perfect for the part(Charlie Sheen also come to mind)

Go see it.

PS I knew exactly what the last line of the movie would be at the press conference.....then the perfect song followed.

I guess that means that a sequel is in the works.

Ultimates sucks, at least compared to other comics out right now. I have a huge problem with Jackson playing a role that has been changed just in the last few years. That character is one of marvels oldest, and they should have cast him as most marvels fans know him.

Good film. Downey Jr. was really within his element as the prick. He's got the arrogant smugness that's hard not to like, no matter how demeaning. Good effects. Much more seemless than most other CGI-heavy superhero films.
